Good morning. I'm hoping you are all having a wonderful weekend so far. Today I'm doing some yoga and taking it easy LOL. Breakfast will be a green smoothie, lunch will be a salad with fresh salsa and dinner will be fresh veggies and hummus. I had a great time at the farmer's market yesterday. @real mad hatter you'd be so proud of me with all the really great bargains I got. The only problem with all the great bargains is now I'm going to be prepping and freezing about 50 pounds of peppers. They were almost giving those away. I'm also going to be freezing some peaches and melons. When those are all done I have to can 25 pounds of tomatoes. So as you can see it's going to be a busy day or 2 in my house. One of the farmers said next week eggplant should be available by the bushel. Looks like I've already got plans for next weekend. LOL

Way to go @figmentfan423 ...I do exactly the same..only last week lean beef mince was half price at a supermarket..Bought 8 boxes and made enough Chilli to feed everyone in the Mexican pavilion at Epcot.;)

I've been up for an hour. Allergies, had me sneezing:mad:. So I figured I'd get caught up here waiting for the meds to kick in and then do my yoga practice. I'm usually up by now working out, I keep strange hours:D
No probs..I once went out with a girl ( many many moons ago ) who also kept strange hours.. ( No, she wasn't what your thinking :rolleyes: ) Turns out she claimed she was a vampire.:bored:...

Good morning 5 miles down 15 pounds of peppers left to freeze LOL Yes it's going to be another busy day in the Figgy kitchen. All the tomatoes are in my freezer except for what I'm going to use this week. I made 6 quarts of salsa. YUM nice and spicy. I like the texture of a raw frozen and properly thawed salsa better than a canned one so I froze them also. Also chopped and froze about 12 pounds of tomatoes. We got really busy yesterday and cleaned out one of our freezers. I gave away a bunch of overly processed foods to my neighbor who loves that stuff. DH is on a low sodium diet so no more junk he can easily get a hold of!!!!!!!!!!!! For breakfast I'm having a smoothie, thinking kale, cuke and berries, lunch coleslaw with beans or hummus and for dinner steamed veggies with almond sauce. My healthy eating is becoming contagious in my house my boys asked for stuffed peppers with black beans instead of meat!! Sounds like a good dinner for tomorrow or Tuesday. I hope you are enjoying your weekend and are being active. @93boomer I hope the healing is coming along!!!!!!!!! xoxoxo

GOOD MORNING! Rise and shine because it's the start to another glorious week. So get up and get moving. I just did JM's No more trouble zones and I'm going out walking today once the sun is up. I'm in the mood for a light smoothie today, thinking spinach, cucumber, celery and apple. Lunch will be some slaw with carrots and beets and tonight will be stuffed peppers with black beans, zucchini, onion, garlic and basmati brown rice topped with a light tomato sauce. Glad I got such a good deal on peppers and tomatoes on Friday. LOL Right now I'm enjoying a cup of green tea with ginger, so here's raising it to a happy and active week for all of us. Cheers!

Good morning! Yes I am up early! In fact I've been up since 7! Having to rest my shoulder and these meds are making me wake up early.
I am doing better each day. Having more movement in the arm but still some pain. Still can't reach my head:)
My DH is doing the cooking but it is healthy so I am not writing menus.
Wow @figmentfan423 I didn't know you canned and froze veggies! That is so good! I usually only freeze corn on the cob. And berries.
Still getting my walking in. I just have to make sure I don't move my arm too much!:cool:

Take it easy on that arm! I lifted a few extra weight for you this am. Get well soon!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! When I can and freeze produce from the local farms I know nothing was waxed, I'm trying to keep my food choices as healthy and local as I can and besides they taste better.

Good morning, yeah, yeah right looks like rain today!:mad::rolleyes::mad::( So I may not get out today as planned! The one day I had enough time to go swimming LOL Oh well life goes on and so do I I've already gotten 5 indoor miles done and I'm enjoying my morning tea. Smoothie for breakfast (spinach, blueberry, yellow squash) Salad with leftover black beans and leftovers for dinner. Meatless Monday seems to be going over big in my house and my boys were pouring over cook books last night to try and figure out what they want for next week. @93boomer take care of your arm!!, @epcotisbest try and stay positive, @MR FERRET get off your butt and move this week and @real mad hatter and @mrdisman enjoy your walk. So sorry about the rant about the weather.
