working out for Disney

Honestly, right now it is off-the-chart high because I have not been eating right. Lately I have quit worrying about carbs and calories. After the storm and the virus scare my attitude is, hey if I'm going to get a virus and die, or blown away by a tornado, why bother?
Yes, I realize that is the worst possible excuse, and will get back on track soon enough, but right now I find myself having a real hard time caring about my health.
Cop out excuse? Yes.
I did get rained out on the lawn care, so no outdoor exercise today. Maybe some carrot cake instead!
It's hard I get it and slacked of myself for a bit. My dh going back on nights made it even harder not to mention being way too close to hot spots. Good luck and when you're ready to get back on track we're here for you xoxo

Well, I skipped out on my walking W-F, but I still kept up with the gym workout and have been averaging just over 16 miles on the bike. I've also been keeping up with the muscle training variety to help keep things fresh. Today, I went out for 4 miles. My running has not been going well, but I got it done. I did a 7 mile cool down on the bike and some arms and abs after.

I'm not sure how far we walked this afternoon, but I made everyone get their lazy butts up and we drove to a really nice wilderness park about 25-30 min from the house. It was about 2.5 hours of mild hiking and walking. It was overcast, but the temps were pleasant and it's a really pretty park.

I'm back with Adrienne. I took one look at today's hiit yoga and said NOPE! Part of it required a mat with some grip for stability and then right into something if you did it on a mat with grip you could break a leg. I didn't want to spend today in the emergency room.

Mother's Day was a rest day for me and I ate like a little piggy from the night before through Mother's Day dinner. We had BBQ on Saturday and Mexican yesterday. I also made myself gluten free pancakes yesterday morning before anyone else could get up and steal them. BBQ was good, but they were out of sliced brisket by the time we ordered and it's not our favorite place (even if it is the top rated one in the area). No pics of the Mexican food, but this was the BBQ.

I ended my pig out weekend with a taste of Disney at home.

I didn't feel like getting up to work out today, but I knew I'd regret it if I didn't. So, it was about 15.5 miles on the bike, arms, abs, and an 11 minute walk through the yard and driveway.

Inspired by your post, I had bbq for lunch today. The last time I smoked a Boston butt, I put some in the freezer because we never finish all of it. So I got some out, warmed it up and made some baked beans and coleslaw to go with it. I had to be quiet because my wife was on the sofa doing a conference call. She enjoyed the 'cue when she finished the call.

You just reminded me that we have a pork butt in the freezer. We may have to smoke that for Memorial Day. Looks delicious!
