Thought I'd share...since I'm often living vicariously through my parents' travels and this most recent one is Disney related. They spent a few days at Disney's Vero Beach resort. Looks pretty nice!

Good morning. I went to the pool again today. I ended up just swimming for half an hour. I realized when I got there that I forgot a vital piece of clothing if you're a woman and had to run home. Ended up pulling my hair back instead of drying it; not a huge deal.
A couple of my Facebook friends have been promoting a diet. I think they're involved with sales with it. They keep sharing promotional materials. Today the small print caught my eye: average weight loss 12 pounds. Wow. Miracle diet indeed.
I have not posted a breakfast photo lately so thought I would today. I eat breakfast every day, and the doctor says it is important to not skip breakfast. I have to eat somewhat low-carb and it can get boring, so I try some creative things to not be repetitive. I have some friends who try to eat low-carb as well and they have a difficult time sticking to it and their sugar numbers are harder to manage.
This was easy, very flavorful and not boring at all.
Sauteed some leftover diced, grilled chicken in olive oil with some onions, then added some salsa to the pan and let it reduce the liquid out of the salsa. Served it with regular ole scrambled eggs and topped it all with some shredded cheese. Yes, the onions and salsa added a tiny bit of carbs and sodium, but it was so tasty! And of course, I topped the whole thing with some hot sauce for added kick.

My workout this morning was decent and I had high hopes for this evening's run and testing my new watch, but it's been a rough day and it really weighed me down. The heat surely didn't help, nor did crazy stuff from work, but I got a call after lunch that my mom was in the hospital. Of course, they're still up in Vero, so it's nothing near home. At first, they just thought she was dehydrated and were giving her IV fluids, but after further observation and new issues coming up while there, they realized she was experiencing some kind of internal bleeding. They were going to wait 24 hours since her last meal, but after getting a specialist in ahead of schedule, they decided to take actions so they could do a procedure tonight. And that's where we left things when I went out for my run. I just didn't have it in me to push. I didn't run horribly and it helped relieve some of my stress, but my numbers weren't great either. I did like the watch, and that's good, because my older one wants me to run with her this weekend and she's going to start using my old watch. In any event...We'll know more tomorrow on my mom, but so far, we know they found an esophageal tear that they were able to clip up. So, we'll see what tomorrow holds.
Even if you moved the camera, would you be able to see WHICH package of cookies is being eaten? Are the packages a different color? I doubt the older one will own up to it even if she did it. My brother wouldn't ever admit he had hidden the box of cereal because he'd have gotten in trouble. So he'd tell my mom I must have eaten the whole box and that's why it wasn't there, and then I'd find the box hidden in the cupboard next to where it was supposed to be, ALL the way in the back, behind a bunch of other stuff. Gee....how did it get there? Or it wouldn't even be in the kitchen, it would be in the linnen closet in the laundry room. And no one sleepwalked, so it was just my brother hiding it so I couldn't have any. When mom started buying us our own boxes and I realized he was stealing mine, I started hiding my box. We had a garbage bin that was never used for garbage, where we kept all our extra emergency winter gear...scarves, hats, and also some things like extra bags of flour and sugar, and I would stick my box in there because he never had a need for anything in there. Ah, the lengths we go to to thwart siblings!!The deception is the issue. I bought two packages of cookies on Sunday, one for each girl to last the better part of the week. They are different flavors, because each has their own fave, so no mistaking whose package is whose. The mint ones for my younger one are nearly gone, but she swears she's only eaten about half of what's missing. My husband hates mint, so I know it's not him. I can't eat them due to dietary concerns. So, it's the kids eating them, but which one is the Cookie Monster? I strongly believe it's the older one, but it's also possible that the younger one is sleepwalking. I haven't caught her doing this in a long time, but she has a history of it. I've debated about moving one of the cameras to face the pantry, but it would be such a pain since I'd be sifting through video of them eating all kinds of things.
How does that happen? And esophegeal tear? Is that from eating something sharp? I hope she's better soon! I see so many of my friends pushing stuff like that. Some have even been outrageous enough to comment on some of my posts with sales pitches. Like, oh...you're tired, PM me...I have the perfect stuff to help give you that extra boost you need. That 12 pounds they're always advertising is probably all water weight too.
So sorry to hear about your mom, and I hope that her procedure was successful and that no further medical treatment will be needed.

This had been my social media feed so much so I ended up deactivating my FB. I had lost 40 pounds over the past year and a half and some “friends” wanted to sell me some miracle pill to lose the final 10.
My miracle pills are my weights
