working out for Disney

When I went to Disney with my parents and we had a 10 day length of stay and we weren't crunched for time we had pool days incorporated into our vacation so on those days I hit the fitness center. I am use to working out since I work at a trampoline gym and do a lot of bouncing all the time.

I did wind up doing some gentle stretches and twists last night but not what I would call a practice. This morning started with yoga and I've already done 7 miles, just inside hydrating and trying to warm up. Food today same as yesterday, it seems the food lasts wayyyy longer when I'm sans 1 kid

I got over 21,000 steps in yesterday. I usually get somewhere around 15,000.
I'm not doing as well today, but I picked up DS from school and we were about 10 minutes from home when the sky suddenly opened up.

I was completely soaked!! At least it was on the way home, so we could just change clothes as soon as we were in.

Good thing you were on your way home. I hate that when you get drenched and you have hours before you can change.

Not workout related, but I forgot to share the "grown up" collars I just got for the pups. Yup, they have pretty much outgrown their puppy collars and it's time for some adult dog jewelry. :hilarious:

One of these days, I'll buy harnesses and a different leash set up, so that maybe...just maybe...I can have a running buddy.

Forgive me but which one is which again?

The sad part...I buy a ton of stuff I know they'll love and then they fight over one thing. I get calls, screaming about how one ate a bunch of French toast sticks or the last burger from the freezer, yet you could feed an army with everything else that's in there.
I'm so sorry but I found that funny, my boys fight over the last piece of vegan meatloaf and the last vegan Chinese meatball.

My mom used to buy 2 boxes of Peanut Butter Capn Crunch and write our names on them in permanent marker. One for me, one for my brother. Otherwise we fought over it. My brother would hide the box where I couldn't find it so only he could eat it. Of course, once she started buying 2 boxes, he would just take some from my box. I would eat one bowl and suddenly the next day, my box was somehow 1/2 empty, and even though I SAW him eating capn crunch, his box was miracuously still almost full.
If your girls aren't prone to such deception, you might consider labeling with their names. Divide the packages and put each portion into a freezer bag and label them. Once theirs is gone, it's gone, but then at least they can't complain that the other got more than they did.

I have not posted a breakfast photo lately so thought I would today. I eat breakfast every day, and the doctor says it is important to not skip breakfast. I have to eat somewhat low-carb and it can get boring, so I try some creative things to not be repetitive. I have some friends who try to eat low-carb as well and they have a difficult time sticking to it and their sugar numbers are harder to manage.
This was easy, very flavorful and not boring at all.
Sauteed some leftover diced, grilled chicken in olive oil with some onions, then added some salsa to the pan and let it reduce the liquid out of the salsa. Served it with regular ole scrambled eggs and topped it all with some shredded cheese. Yes, the onions and salsa added a tiny bit of carbs and sodium, but it was so tasty! And of course, I topped the whole thing with some hot sauce for added kick.

The deception is the issue. I bought two packages of cookies on Sunday, one for each girl to last the better part of the week. They are different flavors, because each has their own fave, so no mistaking whose package is whose. The mint ones for my younger one are nearly gone, but she swears she's only eaten about half of what's missing. My husband hates mint, so I know it's not him. I can't eat them due to dietary concerns. So, it's the kids eating them, but which one is the Cookie Monster? 😂 I strongly believe it's the older one, but it's also possible that the younger one is sleepwalking. I haven't caught her doing this in a long time, but she has a history of it. I've debated about moving one of the cameras to face the pantry, but it would be such a pain since I'd be sifting through video of them eating all kinds of things.

I hope you buy the harnesses sooner rather than later. With active dogs like yours, pulling on a leash with collars instead of harnesses can be a problem. Our vet told us he always recommends harnesses because active dogs can pull very hard and just a collar and leash can cause discomfort or more to a dog's throat and neck and eyes, especially if they see a squirrel and take off suddenly only to reach the end of the leash and come to a quick stop. Those are cute collars and can be worn in addition to a harness, without the collar being attached to the leash.

I think you may having inspired my breakfast for tomorrow. I have a bunch of chicken and plenty of eggs. Looks delicious!

We had puppy sized harnesses for them, but they've recently outgrown them. I will admit, they aren't on leash very much right now, but you and your vet are correct...the common alternative can put a lot of strain on the dog. I know several people who have had tracheal issues with dogs who have pulled too hard on a standard leash/collar set up.
