working out for Disney

It doesn't happen as often as it probably should, but I'm taking a break day. I'm tired and some muscles hurt a little more than standard soreness. I haven't been eating as well as I should these last few days (still worked out though), so that's not helping either. Still, I'm just reading it all that my body needs a rest.

We had that weather system come through here on Saturday. It was CRAZY, but thankfully, the worst of it was to our north. Still, we were out at the softball fields and we had several rounds of the sky turning black. I kept watching the squall lines for signs of funnel formation. Thankfully, we just got a lot of rain and wind (not enough to cancel anything though) and the sun would come out also tease us in between storm cells.

That top photo looks .

It's good that you're listening to your body. Soreness beyond "normal" soreness is a definite sign of overtraining. I've been scaling back, too, because I just feel so blah lately.

I feel your pain or lack of sleep my weather thing went off several times last night, the joy of being on the border of a couple regions:eek::rolleyes::cautious::bawling::banghead: Yesterday I was on my feet all day from the time I got up until my first 2 hour sleep shopping and cooking. Today is my rest day because 4 hours total sleep doesn't cut it!

I hope you sleep better tonight. It was so humid and close here last night before the system rolled in. I was sleeping poorly because of it and then my alarm went off. It took awhile for my heart rate to come down from that. Then my husband kept telling me he thought we should all go downstairs. I told him I was staying put in my comfy bed. :p He kept looking out the windows. I was hedging my bets because I thought if a tornado did form, it would likely be an EF-0. That's probably stupid, but I felt it was an acceptable amount of risk.

I think of someone blowing up an ATM and I just think of bills floating down from the sky. "Make it rain." 💶
Well, I don't know if it's true, but I heard that the funniest thing is that the actual ATM was still completely in tact, so there was no money to be gotten. It was just the structure around it that crumbled. But, even if that isn't true, they wouldn't have been able to get to the money as the explosion was so huge, they wouldn't have been able to get through the fire to get the money, and the boom was so loud that everyone and their dog went running outside to see what it was, so they had to make a fast getaway with nothing, apparently. I was just getting out of work when it happened, so I didn't hear the blast, but we had wanted to go by the ATM and get some money on our way home when DH picked me up from work. We pulled into the parking lot and there were policemen, fire trucks, bystanders, and the ATM building was on fire. But there was certainly no money rainfall. :(

Mentally, I hate missing, but I know it's for the best. I'm wondering if it's the change in seasons that's getting to us all. I mean, I know it's getting warmer for everyone who has real winter, and that's a good thing...but I still think it can take a toll.

I guess the rest yesterday helped. I woke up a little bit before my alarm and felt good. I did a full "basic" work out, but didn't push it. I went 15.75 mi on my normal tension, did triceps/shoulders/back with my set of 8lb weights, did one round of abs, and nice (but not too brisk) little walk at the end.

I also was able to get signed up for my races!!!!!!! It was a bit frustrating, but it's done and we're good. Long story short, while I expected to wait in the queue for a while, I wasn't expecting it to take people out of order. My friend, who joined the queue a few minutes after me, got in a good 10 minutes before my computer...and my phone, which joined the queue close to 25 minutes after all of our devices was the next to get through to register. Now I can at least officially start planning and training!!! Woohoo!!!

What places are on your maybe ADR list? QS list? If we did any of them gf I'll let you know how it went

Skipper Canteen is the only definite, and it looks like there are a number of things I can eat since they work a lot in rice noodles. The dairy-free component looks like it's going to be the more difficult one for a number of other places, but I'm hoping some of my maybes can work with it.

Case in point, I'm thinking about California Grill because I'd like a meal with a view and I tend to prefer it over Narcoosee's, but it looks like Narcoosee's standard menu works better for the dairy-free/gluten-free person. My friend and I have also discussed Sanaa and I understand they offer a naan bread that's GF and DF, but I've also never tried Jiko and this might be the perfect time to do so. Beyond that, I think we're going to do one character meal (probably a breakfast), but I've found those to be very accommodating in general. We may just play some of it by ear too and rely on last minute ADR drops and lounges. Some will also hinge on where we stay...and that's a whole different list of pros and cons. LOL
