working out for Disney

Sometimes it's best to ignore those types of people by not giving them attention, even negative attention is like pouring gasoline on a fire. If I had to say something, I would just give a "hi" and a quick nod and move on. She sounds like a miserable cow.
I'm usually really really good at hiding it if I don't like someone. I will say hi and ask how a person is doing, be friendly. But she's one that I don't think there would be any doubt in anyone's mind how we feel about each other if we ran into each other. I don't think either of us could even manage a "hi." It's more of a nod of the head like "Oh.....you're here." And then as we turn to make our escape from each other, there would be much eye-rolling. Civil/socially acceptable, but definitely not friendly. There's accepting that 2 people are really different and not destined to be friends, though you can be friendly, and then there is "OMG I can't stand that....woman." There are very very few people in this world that I can't find a nice thing to say about, but she's one of them. It's best if we don't have to run in the same circles.

Hello-

Yesterday I did one hour of yoga and today I wrapped up my four week lower body strength training program. Not sure what I am going to do now. I liked not having to do the guesswork of which workout to do. I am going for a walk with my husband in a bit.

I went to lunch with my husband at an Indian buffet. I ate way too much and took a nap when I got home. I have no idea what's wrong with me. I never nap (unless I am ill) and the past two weeks I've fallen asleep around 10 AM. One day, I took two naps! It's embarrassing.

I am making chicken shawarma with lemon couscous. I'll put out pita, tahini, olives, hummus etc. It's kind of like a DIY thing.
You've had a lot going on with the interviews and traveling, etc. I'm betting now that that's all winding down, your body is just kind of like "finally!! I can rest!" Has your schedule changed otherwise? I find that I get really exhausted from the constantly changing schedule. I work on call, so my schedule is always wonky....I worked last night until 11:10pm, then had to work again at 9am. I was exhausted this afternoon....granted, the police helicopters looking for the guys who blew up the ATM by our house kept me awake for a while, so I don't think I got much sleep. But I'm always more tired when I don't have a steady routine. You haven't really had much routine lately...your body is probably just ready to get back to it.

Once the two airlines merged, some United FAs were "pushed down" because of Continental FAs who had worked at Continental longer than the United FAs. Seniority is everything to a FA. It dictates when you can transfer bases, which trips you can bid on and which holidays you can have off. If I ever get a job as a FA, I will likely be working every major holiday for at least the next 3-5 years. o_O

No surprise, as it happens often when companies merge/get bought out, etc. Once they label something a NEW company, that wipes out any seniority, etc. All employees from the old company start at the ground floor again. Sad, really, and it happens a lot--and not just the airlines.

Maybe it's all the stress you've been under lately

I can't imagine how frustrating that must be for anyone whose job is seniority-based. It's like all of the time and effort you put in is zeroed out like it never happened.

It happens quite a bit in the Netherlands....theives try to break into an ATM to get money out. These guys were apparently not too bright and used too heavy of an explosive and blew up the entire building it was in....right next to a residential area and a small strip mall. Hundreds of witnesses to look out their windows when they heard the boom, that was apparently heard on the other side of town, and it shook the ground.

And they did this at 11:15 at night when people are still awake to look out and see them escaping on a scooter. So the police helicopter was circling our neighborhood, looking for the abandoned scooter, or two yahoos still riding it 2 -3 hours later.

Hello-

Just checking in with a "glute isolation workout." It was over in 38 minutes and was pretty lightweight. But that's OK, because the weather alarm on my phone went off at 3:20 AM with a tornado warning telling me to "SEEK COVER NOW." I looked at the radar and didn't really see anything that indicated a tornado and the storm was quite far to the west of me. My husband kept looking out the windows and asking if we should go downstairs. I told him I was not, because I read the warning. No tornado had been spotted, it was storm that showed the potential to spawn a tornado. I think they err on the side of caution here, because it's an unusual event. Since I've moved here almost three years ago, I've only had two tornado warnings. So I never went back to sleep! At 4:30, I just decided to get up, have a cup of coffee and workout.

I am hoping to get out for a walk today. I think we're done with storms for now. :)

Yeah, that's a bit of overkill. I can imagine that would be disruptive to sleep. Well, thankfully nobody was hurt?

I feel your pain or lack of sleep my weather thing went off several times last night, the joy of being on the border of a couple regions:eek::rolleyes::cautious::bawling::banghead: Yesterday I was on my feet all day from the time I got up until my first 2 hour sleep shopping and cooking. Today is my rest day because 4 hours total sleep doesn't cut it!

Eeek! Short night for you! I don't know how to get my workout in today....DS is sick and didn't go to school, so I couldn't go to work. No bike riding for me today, and no walking at work. What will I do with myself??

Sympathy like. Can you catch a nap somewhere in there? I tried to nap this morning because I was up half the night with DS, who was convinced he was going to die because he doesn't have a healthy diet and a stomach ache must mean he had something really serious. It took me a few hours to get him calmed down and settled again. It sounds like all of us had short nights!!

YouTube is your friend and with all the walking and biking you do I suggest Yoga with Adrienne and don't worry about getting all the way into the poses. Rest days are important and so is stretching

As soon as James is all set for the day and I think I'm going to do the practice I posted later, nothing jarring today!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've always wanted to do a Disney race, but I am not the best runner. One of my friends did a half-marathon at WDW and a few months later ran a half at Disneyland. She did this during grad school and she was doing crazy things like waking up 2:30 AM to eat a bowl of cereal and going back to sleep, so she could run at 5 AM. Maybe you should book a room, so you're not scrambling to get one when you aren't shut out? I heard those marathon weekends get crazy busy. Waiting at a computer to check in makes me crazy, you should see before I need to check in for a Southwest flight.

This is for 2020, so I'm not able to get anything on Disney property just yet. I mean, I could book the Swan right now if I wanted it, but thinking I may go a different angle with a possible splurge. I think 2020 should open in July, so hopefully I'll get the room squared away by then.

Yeah, I think that's part of why I'm not doing the half. I can live a fairly normal life if I'm doing a 5k or 10k, but anything longer is really disruptive. I don't mind waking up in the middle of the night to do this and have some small bites to get me through it, but eating a bowl of cereal at 2:30am and going back to sleep isn't in my plans.

That's a big part of why I don't love Southwest. I really don't like risking group B or later with the kids either, so I've been paying for Early Bird. There goes the bulk of the bags fly free savings! My good friend absolutely loves SWA, but he's usually flying solo and he is in a wheelchair, so he doesn't really need to worry about boarding group.

It doesn't happen as often as it probably should, but I'm taking a break day. I'm tired and some muscles hurt a little more than standard soreness. I haven't been eating as well as I should these last few days (still worked out though), so that's not helping either. Still, I'm just reading it all that my body needs a rest.

We had that weather system come through here on Saturday. It was CRAZY, but thankfully, the worst of it was to our north. Still, we were out at the softball fields and we had several rounds of the sky turning black. I kept watching the squall lines for signs of funnel formation. Thankfully, we just got a lot of rain and wind (not enough to cancel anything though) and the sun would come out also tease us in between storm cells.

I did the practice with Adrienne this morning and it's my lucky active rest day because and posted. The yoga gods must have known last night was rough. The kicker is it was over 60 when I got up and now we're getting mixed carp. Soothe and stretch, breath and relax, come here little groundhog:angelic:
