Happy Farm Market Saturday. Nothing like being up and out before what should have been sunrise. My and one ds went to to FM then my dh dropped me off at a hill challenge. Nothing like long hills, steep hills short hills, up and down through the woods with on and off rain rain to make for a fun day. I'm taking tomorrow off!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good for you! I took today off. I've been go-go-going non-stop for the last week. Today was the first day I didn't have to work or go anywhere, so I am VEGGING!

My wife is on another business trip, this time in Memphis, Tenn. She likes to try local places and she sent me this pic of where she ate at this evening. Said it was some of the best fried chicken she ever had. She usually likes white meat and I prefer dark. She went ahead and had the white but said she just knew I would have ordered the special four piece if I had been with her. She is right. And at $6.99 the special included two sides and bread. You can't eat at McDonalds for that

So my wife is still out of town on a business trip and I have been trying to avoid fast food, so I threw something together that was a flavor explosion of goodness with hardly any effort on my part.
I took some mixed, frozen veggies and drizzled them with olive oil, topped them with three boneless, skinless chicken , sprinkled it all with Penzey's Cajun Spices then just for the heck of it I topped the chicken with some Nathan's Coney Island Onion Sauce.
I served it with some Cheddar/Jalapeno Ranch sauce for dipping and this meal was amazingly flavorful for something I just tossed together and stuck in the oven.

That looks delicious!!! (I might have cut back a little on the "hot" spices, but other than that--YUM!!)

Question for all you veterans: I know a lot of you do a combination of different styles like Pilates, Yoga, Hiit, walking, etc...can you do those on the same day or are there things that should be kept separate? Like....I remember back in high school, they told us you do cardio one day and strength training on another, arms one day, legs the other, because otherwise your body doesn't get adequate rest in between. But, can I do Pilates, for example, and also do a cardio workout that day? I'm noticing that I've plateaued...walking and riding my bike are not sufficient anymore. Even though I get close to 30,000 steps in in a day, I'm not losing weight, and I still have a LONG way to go. So I need to add some variation into my routine...so on the days that I'm not working, I want to do some other things. I just need to make sure I'm not going to shoot myself in the foot by combining things that might not work together to my advantage. I did a great LS workout today....just a 20 minute thing to start, with kicks and knee lifts, etc. It was like Turbo Jam, but lower impact. And then I did a Pilates stretching thing that really made me feel all relaxed and great. That might be great before bed. But is it ok to do an actual pilates workout or Yoga right before or after I do a cardio workout?

Calm down!!!!!!!!!!! You can do cardio and any other workout the same day. Just don't "work" the same body part with weights 2 days in a row. Listen to your body and you'll be fine. Let's say you're doing upper body every other day and on your day to do it, you shoulders or arms feel funny for lack of a better word put it off for a couple of days.
