Kinda makes me wonder about myself, here you folks are eating fish food in an effort to remain healthy** and I am eating eggs that are listed as "possible" contamination. I either have a death wish or a highly developed sense of denial. I'll let you know (hopefully) in a few days.
Does eating that fish food make you healthier or just a really strong swimmer? ;)

My DD and DH both have schedules like you all the time! Lol They say they will rest when they can—maybe next year. :) I make sure DH eats right, walks when he gets home, and relaxes at night before bed. He likes to read so that is putting some zen back in his life. ;)
Well the thing with my job is that it's like.....90% walking. Sometimes 100% walking. It's 100% standing, and depending on whether you are doing orders, packing, going through returns, or putting processed returns away, there are different things besides walking If you are doing orders, it's all walking. If you are putting returns away, pretty much the same....maybe only 95% walking. But there's definitely no need for me to go for a walk when I get home. First I bike about 6 km to get there, then I walk several miles, then I bike to pick up DS, and then bike home. So exercise is no problem. My problem tends to be finding time for myself. The last few days, I haven't made it anywhere but this thread and the Bob Sagget thread because there was just no time. I went to bed early last night because I was so exhausted. Monday I had choir. Today, I was out a bit later because DD finished the big huge exam they take in 6th grade AND we got her acceptance letter for the high school program she wants to do and she got in, so when she got out of Musical Theater lessons, I took her out for dinner to celebrate. Tomorrow I think I FINALLY have an evening free.

I have not posted any cooks lately so here is tonight's simple supper.
Put some soup beans on to soak overnight and came home at lunch and put them on to simmer with a ham bone leftover from the other day. I hate to let a good ham bone go to waste when there are beans to be seasoned. I added garlic salt, black pepper, cayenne pepper and a bit of hot sauce and simmered for about five hours till I got home.
Tossed some andouille sausage on the grill with some bbq sauce and served it hot and steamy with the beans. Sorry, I sliced one of the sausage pieces before I thought to take a photo. Was kinda boring but was quite satisfying.
Next week the Vidalia onions will be in and those would have really added to this, maybe with cornbread....next time.

Still? Tell mother nature to go home....she's obviously drunk! It's supposed to be 84 degrees here tomorrow!! We don't usually get this warm until July! And even then, that's a pretty high temperature for here. So we have extreme heat for this time of year, and you have extreme cold. What is UP with that?
I'm thinking more like some crazy drug that should be illegal!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Today is cold rain:mad::mad::mad: There goes the nature walk which has already been postponed a few times. Today when I hopped out of bed it was straight to the yoga mat. I have a feeling it's going to be another multi practice day:banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead:

THNX for letting me know I'll start looking for Vidallias next week.

The official beginning pack date, as proclaimed by the agriculture department here in Georgia for the real deal, genuine Vidalias, is April 20, so they should begin shipping tomorrow. We are a long way from the Vidalia growing area, but we will have fresh ones here probably by tomorrow evening.
I like them sliced on a sandwich or diced in a salad, but a big ole Vidalia, sliced thick, battered and deep fried makes for the best ever onion rings. Can't eat them by the plate full any more, but I can eat one (OK, two or three).

Spring is in full bloom here. This morning's walk was glorious. As the sun was coming up, the air was filled with birds singing, welcoming the new day.
I was in awe of how full the trees seemed to be, filled with nature's musicians. While the air is filled with the natural symphony, it is also filled with pollen, lots of pollen, so all is not golden yet (yellow, yes).
The red azaleas that were so full have now peaked and started wilting and falling to the ground. The whites and purples are still hanging on and some of the others, including the bright orange flame azaleas, have yet to make their spring arrival, so we have that to look forward to.
The forecast calls for it to be in the 30s again in the morning so I will probably walk a little quicker, not lingering around with Mother Nature. Yesterday afternoon it was in the low 80s, so when it drops back to the 30s, that big of a temperature swing makes it feel really cold, but still I can't complain about our spring after seeing on the news the winter, and late to arrive spring, my northern friends are experiencing.
Sorry to hear about the cold rain @figmentfan423 If I could send some of this sunshine your way, I certainly would (but I might include some of this pollen, discretely hidden in the sunshine shipment).

Right about now I wouldn't mind bathing in pollen

I'm trying very hard to find something/anything good about winter and all I can come up with is I've done lots and lots of yoga. A great way to build strength without adding bulk. That being said I'd much rather have been out walking and doing my yoga in the park

We just came back to the room from the Braves game in Atlanta. We are staying nearby so we can walk to Suntrust Park. It was very chilly!! I was shaking by the time the game ended. There was a breeze cutting across the field. This was cold for the ATL. Brr! Tomorrow night I am layering more!😜
