Hello-

Yesterday I did a jump rope/bodyweight workout. Today is going to be a 15 minute hiit workout.

I am hoping that we don't lose anymore trees in this upcoming storm. My Japanese maple looks awful from the last one and I really don't want to spend another weekend filling a dumpster with uprooted trees. :(

I don't know if it would help to cover the Japanese maple with a tarp? I was thinking that would be better than heavy snow on thin, brittle branches. It might be a better distribution of weight. 🤔

Hello-

I went out for a walk with my husband today. It is sunny and not terribly cold. I might do some yin yoga before bed later on.

We tried to get someone to cut and haul away our damaged trees, branches. But people weren't showing up to give estimates, so we did it ourselves! We rented a dumpster and my husband cut the trees and branches. Anyway this is the dumpster filled with tree debris.

Apologies for the photo quality. I couldn't get the whole dumpster, but it's filled to the brim. I would really like this upcoming storm to spare my trees this time around. It wasn't even the wind that toppled these trees. It was the heavy snow.
Yikes....I bet it's good exercise, though...hauling branches around. How big was the dumpster? Are the people so busy that they weren't even responding? There must be a lot of people with the same issue, all wanting to get it taken care of.

Sorry just caught up. I used a recipe I found online. It was basically masa and water. May needed more water. I just got frustrated when it stuck so have up.
I would start with equal parts of the flour and water, and just make sure it's the right kind of corn flour. I find that once you get it mixed, it starts to dry out a bit, so while it may start out feeling a bit damp, by the time you get a few rolled, it will be a better consistancy, so if it feels dry right away, you'll need to add just a tiny bit more water. It doesn't take a lot.

I'm so tired! I'm hoping I'm not coming down with whatever DH has. He's home with some sort of bug today, but mostly I just feel really drained. I'm hoping it has more to do with the last night last night. We had a fan night for the band/choir I sing in and while it was lots of fun, it went a bit late. Today is DS's last session with his psychologist and he's so so sad about it. It's kind of good that DH is home sick...DS has grown so much over the last 2 months that the bike is too small and he has a hard time pedaling, so at least DH can drive him today. Guess we need a new bike for DS, too! But that means -I- don't get my exercise in that way...have to figure something else out.

Well, I ended up with the stomach bug. :arghh: But it didn't start until last night AFTER DD had our milkshakes in my dad's honor. He would have turned 85 yesterday, and the 28th is 1 year since he passed, so it's been almost a whole year. He loved icecream, and milkshakes/malts in particular, so that's why we did that last night. So at least I didn't get sick until after that.

My wife is out of town on business so I ate like a kid this evening. She is in Dallas this week, then Savannah and Valdosta when she gets back, then in two weeks New York (hope all the snow is long gone by then).
Did not put a lot of effort into dinner tonight, just warmed up some leftover chili and fixed some hot dogs. Very tasty combination. Flashback to earlier days would have been better if I had thought to make a box of Kraft mac & cheese to go with it, though I have always wondered about those powdered chemicals they call cheese.

Hey. Glad to hear from you. That looks good! Oh yeah Mac ‘n cheese would be good with that. I make it from scratch. There are some easy recipes online. My DD always got yummy aches from eating that Mac n’ cheese with the questionable powder. 😁

I do not like this windy cold weather. The sun is trying to help but not doing enough. 😟I made oatmeal bread in the bread machine. It has about 30 mts left. Tonight’s dinner is spinach and turkey lasagna with a salad. RS in a little while.
