working out for Disney

I think today is another take it easy day. The kids are free because of a nation-wide teacher strike and we had quite a snow storm this past weekend and DS's school closed early yesterday so I had to leave work early to pick him up, but then my choir rehearsal was ALSO canceled, which freed up my evening to go back to work to make up for the time I missed in the afternoon. So last time I looked last night, I had walked 30,000 steps, 21km, and burned 4100 calories.

I'm staying inside today! No repeating of the fall while it's still fall, 33 and icy here:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad: the roads aren't too bad but I'm being safe. Thank goodness for Leslie Sansone and YWA:joyfull::joyfull::joyfull: Tonight's dinner my version of the TC veggie platter:hungry::hungry::hungry::hungry::hungry::hungry:
Today is going to be a repeat of yesterday:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad: I even have left overs:hungry::hungry::hungry::hungry::hungry::hungry: have I mentioned how much I hate snow?

Well, I've already been up and to the grocery store, but I fully intend to sit and watch some Gilmore Girls with the girl child in a bit. She's watching a movie on the Disney Channel right now...The Invisible girl or something. So I'm catching up here. I checked my cracker readings for yesterday. 33,691 steps, 24.49 km, 4432 calories burned. I was a BUSY girl yesterday. I want to check last Wednesday's when I could barely move at the end of the day.

Aw...did you get a lot of it there? We got a lot for HERE, not so much by Wyoming standards. But we did get a few inches, which is about what we would normally get in a whole year. It's crazy!!! Poor DD fell off her bike...it slid right out from under her on the ice. She seems ok today, if a bit sore. But she ended up having to walk to school and she was terrified she was going to be late. I think they totally would have understood. She said she wasn't the only one from our neighborhood who ended up walking instead of going by bike. DS and I were lucky enough to hit the bike path just as the snow plow finished, so the first part of our trek was pretty good. But that WIND...it was blowing him all over the place! We had to walk it for a while and he started crying because his pants legs were getting wet, which he CAN'T STAND, and then it was also really cold. I felt so bad for him. I guess what doesn't kill us makes us stronger, right? Once we got past the stretch where there is nothing to block the wind, we were fine, so it was only a few minutes of walking really, but I imagine it felt like ages to him.
I think we should all take a nice day off and relax...we've all earned it!! Stay warm!!

Hope it goes away soon! It's supposed to rain here later, so I'm hoping it will melt the snow and we'll be able to do our normal routes tomorrow. DS's therapy was canceled for tomorrow because his Psychologist is sick, so at least I won't have to go back and forth again with DD's musical theater, etc.

I feel your pain. It rained here yesterday the whole day. I was SOAKED when I got home from picking DS up from school. I had about an hour before I had to pick DD up, so I threw my jeans in the dryer and climbed in bed with the mattress warmer and my blow dryer, got myself warmed up and then had to go out again. It was that really frigid rain that stings your face and it was SOOO windy. DD said it was giving her a headache...she was sure to wear her hat today. It was pretty miserable yesterday and doesn't look like it will be a whole lot better today. Do you think Mother Nature would ease up if we held a protest?

I think she's being held captive by @MinnieM123. On a positive note I didn't have to run the errand yesterday

On the 4th day of Snowmas I'm sure glad I have a Jillian Michaels kickboxing DVD. It's coming down and we're supposed to get 2 to 4 or 4-7 inches today:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad: I have no idea what I'm cooking today. If school closes it will be zoodles, baked spaghetti squash, marinara and white bean salad. If not veggie curry:hungry::hungry::hungry::hungry::hungry::hungry::hungry::hungry:

 Packing on extra pounds (as if I needed any extra . . . ) since Thanksgiving. At work there are multiple parties, plus people keep bringing in goodies to share. The workplace is a danger zone around this time of year!!
Good luck navigating it. Maybe bring in some healthier snacks so you'll be too full to be tempted?
