Update on the moth incident: DH had to go to the dtr cause his hearing got muffled. Dtr washed the remainder of the moth out. Yuck! Once the water dries out and the "moth dust" from wings absorbs, he should be fine. Crazy week this week!
That is the weirdest thing I've ever heard. Why in the world would it fly in his ear?? Did the ear get infected? Sounds so disgusting, but I'm glad he's alright! What did the doctor say about it?

Thank you. He is fine. Moths try to get to light, which in our case was the table lamp. Then they start flapping their wings really fast and flying all over the place. This one hit the lamp then flew right into his ear . I guess since DH turned to see it and was in the wrong place and it flew in the first open spot, his ear. Doctor has seen lots of things in ears but he hadn't seen a moth. No, no infection but if he hadn't gotten it all out, it could have. :)

I got a fitness tracker...it's not a fantastic one like a fitbit...just I really wanted one and the store happened to have a special deal. Occassionally, this store will get a mega deal with something where it's marked down like 70% and they only get 2 or 3 in, so you have to be quick. They went on sale Wednesday, so I showed up at opening time on Wednesday and looked in their sale aisle, but couldn't find them. So I ask the gal where the fitness trackers are. She tells me at the other end of the sale aisle. I go back...still do not find them. I ask someone else...she says she didn't put them in the store because it's like asking to have them stolen, they are at the register. I say I already asked, she told me they were in the sale aisle. So this gal walks with me...I have to keep repeating it because they don't understand what I'm asking for. Finally, they find them...the first gal thought I said "cracker". Yes...fitness crackers. But I got one, and just as I was done paying, another girl came in looking for them, so she got one, maybe 2, because she was with someone else. I'm betting they sold out within 15 minutes. 30 Euros, even for an unknown brand is good. So I used it yesterday and just in the afternoon until after work, I walked 16,000 steps, 11km, and burned over 3000 calories. Today, I've walked almost 5000 steps already, over 3km, and have burned 1500 calories and I still have to work tonight. Yesterday, before work I was only at like 1400 steps. So if I walked 14000 steps at work last night, and I do similar tonight, I will probably nearly double the goal of 10000 steps. YAY!!

Good morning I did a LS walk while my "granola" was baking. It's easy and low carb:joyfull:. Soak 2 cups whole flax seeds in water overnight with 1cup water, 1 TBSP cinnamon and a bit of stevia. The next morning place on parchment baking sheet and bake at 250 for 30 minutes and flip and bake for 30 more minutes or until easily crumbled. My house smells great:inlove: BTW I eat it with a bit of fruit and coconut milk:hungry::hungry::hungry::hungry:

You are very creative. It would never cross my mind to have flaxseed granola, fruit and coconut milk. It sounds so healthy. I would have to add some bacon or something, then there goes the healthy part!

Hello-

I have been keeping up with my workouts. I did take a break today. My sinuses went crazy with the weather.

We closed on our Illinois house last Friday. So I've been busy with that. I am relieved to have the mill stone around my neck removed. That was gobbling up so much money every month.

So, I try to make macarons every now and again, just to keep in practice. And I made some a couple of weeks ago. They cracked during baking. :( I think this is because I put sparkling, coarse sugar on top. Because that was the new variable. I call them "mermaid-inspired" macarons.

Wow. I don't think I'd be able to sleep knowing there was a moth in my ear. I've inhaled a few bugs while I have been out running. I could feel them squirming around before they died. Then I would spend the next 3-4 days clearing my throat and mildly freaking out. LOL

I have a "cracker," too! :hilarious:

I love mine. I've had mine since 2012. I've been in bed most of the day, so I have an embarrassingly low number of steps.
