Hello--

My kettle bell arrived today. :joyfull: I did a streaming workout with it. It was only 30 minutes, but wow, I had sweat dripping off my chin and nose. It's not even warm here today. I think I might be sore tomorrow. LOL

I am waiting for summer to begin. It been raining here and it seems like it never gets as warm as predicted. The past day or two has been about 10 degrees below the predicted high. Ridiculous. It can stop raining, too. It's been too rainy lately. Boo. :grumpy:

30 minutes of kettlebell can be a killer, well done my friend:joyfull: My rain stopped late afternoon and so hopefully today will be warmer and at least clear, fingers crossed.

Good morning day 5 and I'm still alive:confused: I'm thinking maybe too much yoga with Adrienne:confused:(inside joke for those who've done here practices) anyhoo the 5 miles with weights m1, belted cords m3 and bands m5:joyfull: The group is going out today and I'll either do some upper body or a nice short practice later. I'm leaning towards a practice to reduce end of the school year stress. Dinner for the guys tonight veggie chili:hungry::(:banghead:

It's cloudy and 55 down here. The high is supposed to be 63. I'll see it when I believe it. There's a middle school that's a 3 minute walk down my street. These kids are walking to school in shorts and no jacket. I just broke down and turned the heat on--in June.

Hello-

I did an abs workout today. It was pretty sweaty and tough. I am following a set program, because I like not having to think about what to do everyday. They increased tomorrow's predicted high, so hopefully, I can get out walking and weeding. All this rain has made a number crop of weeds show up in my yard. :(

Good morning I wound up doing the extra upper body so today is going to be pure cardio or at least that's the plan. 5 LS miles are done and day 6 of clean and raw. I feel a bit better but it may be because it's a good 10 degrees warmer than this time yesterday:hilarious: The chicken squad is actually excited about going walking today:joyfull: Yesterday's walk was faster than usual but also a bit shorter, hey at least I wasn't the one wearing a winter coat, mittens and a hat:D

We FINALLY cooled down here in the last few days. It was in the 90s every day, which is MISERABLE at work without air co...upstairs is over 100 degrees, and to have to walk in that for hours...yuck. I'm not even sure it's legal. But Tuesday and Wednesday it POURED and yesterday it was only like 62 degrees. Today the high is 77. DS wanted to wear shorts and I said no...then he wanted to wear sandals. I still said no.

My back yard is a bunch of flower beds with stone pathways. It's like playing whack-a-mole with the weeds. I kill and pick then and boom! they're back again. On the upside, I have found wild strawberries growing along the walkway to my front door. They can stay, they are cute. The deer will probably eat them, though. :'(

Over 100 degrees in your workplace? Yikes! Make sure you're keeping hydrated. When we lived in London, there was a heat wave. It was 95 for a few days. I was so glad we lived on the ground floor. It kept our apartment cool. I felt sorry for people who lived on the 4th/5th floors. That must have been awful. My husband took the tube to work and not all of the lines have trains with AC. He said the commute with people crunched into cars with no AC was disgusting.

Hello-

I just finished my workout for the day. I did 50 KB swings for a warm up, then I did a workout that was "yoga-inspired." It didn't have a "flow," but it was more of a series of strength moves.

It's a bit warmer today, so I think my husband will fire up the Weber to cook dinner. :)

I swear the weeds multiply when I have my back turned. I will pull them all, and then I turn and suddenly there are 3 more that were not there before. I pull those three and then there's another 3! I have pretty much given up on my front lawn.

Yeah, last June/July there was a heatwave and we were over 100 for several days. It was something like 43 Celsius upstairs at work. I'm almost certain that's illegal, but there's no clear limit...it just has to be "workable" temp. But to me, that is not workable, especially when your job consists of physical activity. I have a water bottle that I carry with me and I just refill it often, and I have one of those cooling towels. But it's still miserable when it's that hot. They tell us to rotate so no one has to be upstairs the whole time, but really, the downstairs is still in the upper 90s, so it's miserable anyway, but they don't want to invest in airco. Our house doesn't have AC either so it's miserable in hot weather...we have a fan to blow during the night so we can sleep. 2 years ago, there was a heat wave and the entire country kind of shut down...businesses closed early, schools either sent the kids home in the afternoon or started earlier so they could go home earlier...our school is the only one I know of that didn't do ANYTHING except tell the teachers to let the kids get a drink more often. DD's teacher took a picture of the thermometer in their classroom: 43.4 degrees (110F). A concerned father sent popsicles for the whole class and the teacher brought in watermelon, but I was so angry that the school did nothing. Last year they told the kids to put on their swimsuits and they took them outside and hooked up a fire hose and sprayed the kids from the roof of the school on one of the hottest days. Do most places in the UK have Airco or is it seen as unnecessary?

I feel that way about my back yard:hilarious: As long as it's green, legal and mowed I really don't care what grows there

Good morning today is the end of week one of totally raw. So far so good but I did wind up frying the boys falafel last night, if they were baked I would have been way too temped to eat a few. Thinking back that was a win win, the boys were happier and I wasn't so tempted:hilarious: So far kickboxing and weights:joyfull: Later will be walking then exercising my shopping genes:facepalm:, I have no major plans for this weekend for a change so the only places I wish to go will be the pool and the farm market.:joyfull::joyfull::joyfull: With warm weather finally moving back in:happy::happy::happy: it sure would be nice if @epcotisbest has a minute or 2 to post some bbq pics. I hope everybody has a wonderful weekend and @93boomer is feeling just a bit better xoxo
