Well deserved I'm sure.
30 minutes of kettlebell can be a killer, well done my friend My rain stopped late afternoon and so hopefully today will be warmer and at least clear, fingers crossed.Hello--
My kettle bell arrived today. I did a streaming workout with it. It was only 30 minutes, but wow, I had sweat dripping off my chin and nose. It's not even warm here today. I think I might be sore tomorrow. LOL
I am waiting for summer to begin. It been raining here and it seems like it never gets as warm as predicted. The past day or two has been about 10 degrees below the predicted high. Ridiculous. It can stop raining, too. It's been too rainy lately. Boo.

YUCK!!!!!!!!!!!! I turned the heat on and my dh looked at me like I was crazy. I am but it was COLDIt's cloudy and 55 down here. The high is supposed to be 63. I'll see it when I believe it. There's a middle school that's a 3 minute walk down my street. These kids are walking to school in shorts and no jacket. I just broke down and turned the heat on--in June.
With all the rain we got I'm glad i got out and weeded and mulched everythingHello-
I did an abs workout today. It was pretty sweaty and tough. I am following a set program, because I like not having to think about what to do everyday. They increased tomorrow's predicted high, so hopefully, I can get out walking and weeding. All this rain has made a number crop of weeds show up in my yard.
We FINALLY cooled down here in the last few days. It was in the 90s every day, which is MISERABLE at work without air co...upstairs is over 100 degrees, and to have to walk in that for hours...yuck. I'm not even sure it's legal. But Tuesday and Wednesday it POURED and yesterday it was only like 62 degrees. Today the high is 77. DS wanted to wear shorts and I said no...then he wanted to wear sandals. I still said no.It's cloudy and 55 down here. The high is supposed to be 63. I'll see it when I believe it. I swear the weeds multiply when I have my back turned. I will pull them all, and then I turn and suddenly there are 3 more that were not there before. I pull those three and then there's another 3! I have pretty much given up on my front lawn.My back yard is a bunch of flower beds with stone pathways. It's like playing whack-a-mole with the weeds. I kill and pick then and boom! they're back again. On the upside, I have found wild strawberries growing along the walkway to my front door. They can stay, they are cute. The deer will probably eat them, though. :'(
Yeah, last June/July there was a heatwave and we were over 100 for several days. It was something like 43 Celsius upstairs at work. I'm almost certain that's illegal, but there's no clear limit...it just has to be "workable" temp. But to me, that is not workable, especially when your job consists of physical activity. I have a water bottle that I carry with me and I just refill it often, and I have one of those cooling towels. But it's still miserable when it's that hot. They tell us to rotate so no one has to be upstairs the whole time, but really, the downstairs is still in the upper 90s, so it's miserable anyway, but they don't want to invest in airco. Our house doesn't have AC either so it's miserable in hot weather...we have a fan to blow during the night so we can sleep. 2 years ago, there was a heat wave and the entire country kind of shut down...businesses closed early, schools either sent the kids home in the afternoon or started earlier so they could go home earlier...our school is the only one I know of that didn't do ANYTHING except tell the teachers to let the kids get a drink more often. DD's teacher took a picture of the thermometer in their classroom: 43.4 degrees (110F). A concerned father sent popsicles for the whole class and the teacher brought in watermelon, but I was so angry that the school did nothing. Last year they told the kids to put on their swimsuits and they took them outside and hooked up a fire hose and sprayed the kids from the roof of the school on one of the hottest days. Do most places in the UK have Airco or is it seen as unnecessary?Over 100 degrees in your workplace? Yikes! Make sure you're keeping hydrated. When we lived in London, there was a heat wave. It was 95 for a few days. I was so glad we lived on the ground floor. It kept our apartment cool. I felt sorry for people who lived on the 4th/5th floors. That must have been awful. My husband took the tube to work and not all of the lines have trains with AC. He said the commute with people crunched into cars with no AC was disgusting.
I feel that way about my back yard As long as it's green, legal and mowed I really don't care what grows thereI swear the weeds multiply when I have my back turned. I will pull them all, and then I turn and suddenly there are 3 more that were not there before. I pull those three and then there's another 3! I have pretty much given up on my front lawn.
