Hello, it's me again, the resident spammer :p

I just finished a DVD I haven't done in about 4 years. It was pretty decent. It moved quickly and had tons of variety. I was getting kind of tired of what I was doing before. It was just burpee after burpee in every workout and so many in each workout. I don't dislike them, but dang, find another way to get the heart rate up. LOL

Oh and I found a new You Tube channel. All of her workouts are 20 minutes. She uses light weights and shows low impact medications. I haven't tried them yet, but they look good for days when something is better than nothing.
THNX

It's so much fun! We did have a problem last week because it was only the 2 of us and you really can't do it with just two people. I mean, it's fun, but you can't really solve everything in only an hour with only 2 people. Most rooms over here say 6 people, but we don't know anyone else who is into that kind of thing. The one we are going to tomorrow also allows children as young as 8 when most have to be 16. Tomorrows is a Harry Potter theme...well....wizarding school. They don't have permission to use the HP trademark. But it should be lots of fun, even if we can't beat the room.
I'm jealous. Can you please share how that one is over at chit chat also thnx

I did nothing yesterday and by nothing I mean nothing got a workout except my shopping gene:D I hadn't taken a full day off since May 1st seeing I did the 30 days and a few other workouts and practices after that. Today I got busy again:joyfull: 5 indoor miles with weights, belt with tubes then bands, my garden is planted and mulched and I went walking with my friends:joyfull: The guys are getting fish and parsnip chips for dinner. Me I am doing my annual summer cleanse which started Saturday. I'm changing it up a bit by not going totally smoothie for the first few days but I'll eat what would have been blended. I smoothied breakfast but had my lunch smoothie in the form of a salad and will do the same for dinner:hungry::hungry::hungry::hungry:

Just dropped in here to say hello and share my very tasty and filling lunch. I mixed some hummus and salsa, about two parts hummus to one part salsa, a little minced garlic, drizzled it with some EVOO and lightly dusted it with black pepper. Instead of chips for the hummus dip, I used grape tomatoes, broccoli and cucumbers. This made for a light, refreshing lunch.
Just got back from the Smokies where we went to view the synchronous fireflies again this year. Camped in a tent since I sold our camper. My wife was not the happiest about tent camping, but we had a nice time except for the heavy downpour that occurred as we were taking down the tent. We got soaked, but laughed about it afterward while having breakfast in the car after we got dried off and changed into dry clothes.

Hello--
I did a 30 minute HIIT work out. It's from a streaming site and I'd never done this particular workout. Total burpee fest. I can't escape the freakin' things.

I have been wanting to try a kettle bell workout for years now. I was always put off because you really need a selection of them for different moves. I found a 25 lbs one at Amazon. It was a lot cheaper than I thought. I mentioned it in passing to my husband and he ordered one for me last night and told me today. He did order a 20 lbs one accidentally. LOL So, I'll give it a whirl.

Welcome back I and everybody else missed you here. Please share if you got pics because last year's were great and I picked the wrong week to cleanse:facepalm: Hummus sounds great right about now:hungry::hungry::hungry::hungry: but going raw for a week or 2 is something my body seems to need every now and again:joyfull::arghh::banghead::brb::facepalm::joyfull::hilarious::banghead: as you may be able to tell I have some mixed emotions about that

Good morning and while the rain is keeping the chicken squad inside today I was able to get in 10 LS miles. Day 4 of my raw cleanse and so far so good.

Here are a few photos of the mountain trip this year. There is a lot of damage from the wildfires that swept through Gatlinburg. Several people lost their lives, many thousands of acres burned and some 2000 homes or structures destroyed last November. The recovery is going well from what I have read, and it appears to be a strong, resilient community. Tourism is going strong and that will help with the recovery too. We plan to keep going.
