Adrienne (yoga be Adrienne) just posted rainy day yoga on youtube. I ffd though it and it looks relaxing just right for a rainy or cold day. I'll do it this afternoon. If it's free it's for me LOL:D I'll be sure to give a review later

Hello-

Today is a strength training day. I am putting together a vegan lasagna shortly and sticking it in the fridge. Then I'll bake it later.

I got a call from the school nurse. My son passed out in Health class when they watched a video of a birth. LOL The nurse had to give him smelling salts and let him rest in her office. Once he felt better, he returned to classes. ;)
My heart just skipped a beat, I'm relieved it was only a bit of male shock. Those films and the 24/7 dolls seem to work great as BC

I missed the phone call and my heart skipped a beat when I heard the nurse say he got sick in class. I thought, "Crap. It's the stomach flu. Here we go." I was getting ready to get out the bleach and Lysol! LOL I get so sick when that comes through my house. But she was lighthearted about it and told me he just laid down for a bit and returned to classes.

Good morning!! It is RAINING!!!!!! :D We finally have some moisture in the air. I already feel like I can breathe better. Ahhh....
Haha sorry just excited. I may run some errands and enjoy it. Walking and shopping will be it today.
I thawed out some lentil soup that I had frozen from last week. So that heated up with homemade cornbread will be dinner.
Have a great day all!! :)

Do you have a lentil soup recipe that you use? I have been wanting to make a batch and then eat for lunch.

I don't know if this is what you're looking for but I chop 2 onions, 2 fist fulls of carrots, 1 1//2 is fist fulls of celery, a couple of cups of diced mushrooms, one bag of lentils, veggie stock, pepper, thyme and a pinch of sage(small pinch), sometimes I'll toss in a bag of frozen spinach or kale depending on my mood toss everything in the pressure cooker. Hope that helps.

As promised after hemming way, way too many yards of fabric today, not to mention the fun front coming through I was a bit stiff:mad: So I did Rainy Day Yoga and it helped! Nice and relaxing with enough hip openers to work out the kinks after sitting in a too hard chair for too long. I wish it had more for the shoulders but a warm shower solved that:) I'll do it again in a heartbeat. It's no Yogini but there's only one Shiva Rea

Rain, wonderful rain. Coming down nicely right now. Of course, that means more leaves are coming down too. Unfortunately folks to the west of us got thunderstorms and some tornado activity. We have warnings, but thus far, only rain and wind.

I use this one. It makes 8 servings. I also freeze the leftovers and it reheats wonderfully. Enjoy!

2 T olive oil
1 1/2 c chopped yellow onion
1 c chopped carrot
2/3 c chopped celery
8 oz sweet pork Italian sausage, casings removed (I used chicken sausage)
6 c unsalted chicken stock
1 1/2 c dried lentils
6 thyme sprigs
3 bay leaves
1/2 c chopped fresh parsley
1 tsp kosher salt
1 tsp. black pepper
9 oz fresh baby spinach or kale
Heat oil in a dutch oven over med-high. Add onion, carrot, and celery; cook, stirring often, 5 mts. Add sausage; cook, stirring often, until crumbled and no longer pink, about 3 mts. Add stock, lentils, thyme, and bay leaves; bring to boil. Cover and reduce heat to Med; simmer until lentils are tender, about 20 mts (it took a bit longer for mine to soften). Add parsley, salt, pepper, and spinach or kale; cook, stirring constantly, until greens are wilted, about 1 1/2 mts. Discard thyme springs and bay leaves.

Snapped a photo of the front driveway when I got home today. Now mind you, it goes further down the hill from what you can see, and the leaves have been blown twice already this season. There is an even longer back driveway that looks about the same way, but it was raining and you get the idea. Also, yard on three sides of the house that looks the same way. Just woods on the fourth side, so I don't have to worry about raking the woods.

Hello-

I just finished my work out. There were many hiccups, but I got there in the end. First, my iPad wouldn't connect to my apple tv, then my heart rate monitor stopped working right at the most intense part of the workout.:mad::mad::mad:

Anyway, it's done. LOL

I am hoping to get some sleep tonight, the construction crew came back last night and started jack hammering at 10:20 PM--no joke! So my husband went out there and asked them what they were doing and was it really necessary to do it at night. They are fixing the gas pipes and the city won't let them do this in the day, because it disrupts traffic. So I guess it's ok to make people stay away all night, then, rather than create a detour. My husband called and emailed the township today, but surprise, surprise--nobody responded.

*fingers crossed for a silent night* LOL

@epcotisbest I thought about you twice today first when checking out workouts on youtube, no worries! Some how somebody in cyber space thought I'd like to see a video on how to make home made spam:hilarious: and again when reading about the horrendous fires in Tenn and how you were thinking about going there. I hope you get to go and when you do, you may want to do a google search for the jerky store by Bass Pro Shop, my dh loved that place. Me not so much:D

Progresso has a lentil soup on sale for $1.50 at Target (in my area, anyway) this week. If I liked lentils, I'd buy a can. :)
