Good morning!! Going to be crazy today! Need to start packing, do laundry, walk, etc. DH is off tomorrow and I need to bake my grand-doggie some peanut butter treats. We are spending Thanksgiving with our DD and SIL. We are going out to eat at a really nice place so no cooking for us! :D
We are going to see Moana Thursday night and hit the stores on Friday.
So I hope all of you have a very blessed Thanksgiving!! Stay safe and eat lots of good food!

Hello-

I just completed my cardio hiit workout. It's a good thing I had oatmeal for breakfast.

I haven't weighed myself lately, but I have been taking photos of myself in my workout gear, head on and from the side. You can definitely see the difference a month later. This is definitely due to me sticking to three meals/day and not binging on carbs.

Thanks. I needed to see I was losing weight, but I know the scale can make it look like you haven't lost. I have gone back to lifting weights and sometimes it takes a while for the scale to shift.

Yes, it does take time for you to see the pounds come down on a scale. I found out recently, that I lost an inch off my waistline, and I wasn't even down 10 pounds yet (at that point). So a major indicator of your success is how your clothes are fitting better!

Good morning seeing I finished # I'm up in the air about what i want to do next:confused: I did LS' 5 fast miles this morning and I'm thinking with all the holiday insanity it may be best just to stick with her DVDs at least through the weekend. I thought I had enough food cooked to hold us through tonight but alas no:eek: The human hoovers I live with seem to have helped themselves to everything so tonight I'm making orange tofu. If I have to do extra cooking I'm making something I like:D Have a safe, healthy and happy Thanksgiving and just remember you're not turkeys so enjoy and even indulge but do not over stuff LOL

So, the electricity in half of my house stopped working. I think a transformer blew, or something. The good news is the kitchen and other important parts of the house are functional. If I can't get an electrician in today, it's not the end of the world.

Then last night at 5 PM, they started doing road works in my street, about 50 yards away from my house. They went until 6 AM! There was jackhammering, trucks beeping, men shouting all night long. WTH? I did have some earplugs that helped a bit.

So, today is a strength training day and I will do a BodyPump workout. :)

I'm so sorry about the electricity and the road work. Is there any chance you or your dh can figure out the electric problem yourselves?

Yes, this happened yesterday before my workout. I went to turn on some lights and I assumed a circuit blew, so I went to the box and it hadn't been tripped. I toggled it just in case--nothing. The lights in this house are wired by relay and my husband and I spent last night looking for the transformer. I think I am going to text the couple we bought the house from to ask. The last time I texted him, he ignored me. I get people arriving at my house, thinking this is still their photography studio. So I asked him to remove this address as their business in Google, never heard back. But when he accidentally gets a camera lens shipped here, he will text me asking me to bring it in and hang on to it. Then he texts me 5 minutes before he wants to pick it up. Rant over. LOL

OK, my not paying attention to sugar and calories for the holiday started early. I confess. I mentioned my wife was out of town. Well, she got home last night. She had to host a training session and when she does that, she usually provides pastries and drinks for breakfast and snacks and a box lunch for the attendees.
She got some bacon and maple glazed donuts from a local bakery and they were amazing. Knowing my like of bacon, she saved me one and brought it home. I did only eat half last night and saved half for this morning. Not sure how I managed to only eat half last night, but was worried about the sugar spike I guess.
This thing may be the best donut I have ever tasted. The salty, savory, smoky bacon contrasted nicely with the incredibly flavorful maple glaze to make for a taste sensation. The bacon was real, chopped bacon, not bacon bits. Anyway, crazy good. I'm gonna have to do a lot of walking next week.
