A very smart move resting your ankle! No exercise is every a waste and if it's still bothering you today just put on some music, get into a squat if you can handle it and punch away your anger at the ankle. My ankle was cranky today (probably from yesterday's impact-palooza workout), so I did an upper body workout that was just weights-no cardio. I didn't burn a lot of calories and I am trying to tell myself that it wasn't a waste of time. Yesterday was pretty intense, so it was probably a good idea to listen to my body and rest the old ankle.
