The Princess Bride is my all-time favorite movie.
I love it. Mostly because of Wesley. My friend and I watched it not too long ago and kept shouting and Buttercup, though. We don't like Buttercup. The Princess Bride is my all-time favorite movie.

My all time favorite movie is Star Wars: Empire Strikes back. Which you may have been able to guess...
Well, in my extremely innocent, naive world, they didn't exist. Even with the knowledge that they presently exist I can honestly say that I do not understand how that can be at all comfortable. There goes my halo tightening up again.I think they did exist then, but I think they weren't mainstream yet. I think they were only worn by women in certain "professions."
This is such a crazy conversation!
Let me think, who could have possibly recommended that. Wild guess... shoe manufacturers? Try as I might I can never find a pair of "pumps" that fit me, so sneakers will have to do. Since I currently walk two miles per day 6 days per week that would mean a new pair of shoes every 6 months. At todays prices, I don't think so!For running or fitness walking, it's recommended that shoes be replaced every 300 miles. For either activity, support is important. We all have a system for scaling back out shoes, I'm certain. Like you, my dad has 3 pairs. Myself, I have my current good pair, my previous good pair which I use for home workouts until they give out and then they become yard shoes.
However, being a professional female, those are supplemented by several dozen pairs of pumps, flats, sandals, boots, etc etc etc
I was 14 when I saw all of the Star Wars movies. Neither of my parents had seen them, so it wasn't something that they passed along. My uncle decided that me not seeing Star Wars was unacceptable and got me a Netflix subscription to change that. He didn't realize that I'd become obsessed with it. I don't think we realized until we were on Star Tours together after the relaunch and I started naming the planets where we were...my parents told him it was his fault.I'm more of a Return of The Jedi girl
My dad took me and my brother to see "Star Wars" (later known as 'A New Hope') in the movie theater back in summer of 1977. I was 13. Completely missed Empire, until I started dating my now-husband (of 30 years), he took me to see Empire when it was re-released to theaters in Summer 1982. And then we stood on line for 3 hours to see RotJ in 1993.
Glad your foot is better but I'm wondering if it could be related to an allergy. I seem to get a weird rash behind my ear when my allergies act up or I eat something I shouldn'tHello-
I am in with an arms and abs circuit. I have been using the Kayla Itsines app. It is called Bikini Body Transformation and I feel a bit silly admitting that, but it's challenging and i am enjoying it for now. I am on week three. I am going on a cruise in about a week and half and I am trying to tell myself I will keep up with the program.
My foot feels better. That was the weirdest thing--the intense itching, then the heel pain. It happened just about the same time last year. I am pleased it seems better.

I'll have to look it up. I've never heard of Wallis or Oasis either. Thanks!Full name is White House/Black Market. When it started out, the only clothing colors it stocked was either white or black. Now they add an accent color each season (they seem to have about six seasons). I'd compare them to Wallis on your side of the pond, or even more likely, Oasis.
Um.....what kind of office work requires 2 working ankles?A couple of the young ladies in my office are trying to take up the habit of walking at lunchtime. We are adjacent to a college campus that I hear has walking trails. One of the girls came back from a lunchtime walk complaining that her ankles hurt. She proceeded to miss 2 days of work because of a sprained ankle.
You guessed it, she went trail walking in flip-flops.
When I was fresh out of college, I was a counselor for an academic summer program. At the end, we did a talent show and a bunch of the girls did a dance routine to the "thong song" and they used flip flops. So cute!!Speaking of flip flops, does anyone else remember when they were called "thongs?" When I was kid, that's what they were called. Maybe this is a Midwestern thing.
Weren't they also known as g-strings? There were a lot of jokes among musicians about guitar players and their g-strings.I think they did exist then, but I think they weren't mainstream yet. I think they were only worn by women in certain "professions."

I'm so sorry, I hope it turns out to be an easy inexpensive fix. Try and enjoy the nice weather today.Good morning! So after my car died in traffic doing errands yesterday, I am taking it easy today. I will wait for the garage to call and find out why it died. Hopefully not too expensive. Why is it that you finally get your car paid off with no problems and then it decides something has to be replaced?!! Ugh! Ok rant over and I won't even tell you about my call with our auto club!
So I am doing relaxing things today and just chillin'.
Trust me, they are programed to come up with potentially terminal problems at the moment they are paid for. I have double what it cost me for my car in repairs over the years. I paid 23K for it... so over the last years (six years actually after the warrantee ended) I have put another 23K in repairs. Typical example of kept it too long, but, that ship has sailed so I continue to bleed money into my transportation. It's either that or spend the same amount on a different one. At least the way it is now, I have the psychologically good feeling of skipping months without paying anything.Good morning! You don't have to have any sympathy for me, I am just to stubborn to give up on it. The car is in perfect condition body and interior. It has a million buttons, switches and whistles that I would never be able to afford at this point, it runs beautifully, when it isn't in a garage, but, it has had a series of weird things that the experts are not able to figure out. Always something different and always expensive when and if they figure it out. The most recent thing has been a constant slight overheating of the engine. It only reached stop the car zone once and that was on my way back from Vermont. It has been a minor problem, more of an annoyance for the past 6 or so months. They have finally come to a consensus that it is probably a head gasket. I did some research and found that to be a familiar problem with the Northstar engine. After looking around to see what it will cost to fix it, everyone that I talked to do not want to fix it because "it's a Cadillac" and has some kind of mystical level of fear from standard mechanics. I checked in with Cadillac to get a quote of the cost of replacing a head gasket and as usual they felt that had me and the "sharp pencil" quote was $6500. for a car that although it is in great shape only has a book price of $4200., if it were working excellently. Doesn't sound like a good investment to me.Bottom line: cars are money pits. Sympathies to the both of you. Been there, done that.
