working out for Disney

OK, here is the last of the leftover grilled chicken used in an omelet this morning. This was good. My wife said I used too many peppers and onions in it but it is easy to remove the peppers you don't want. She actually ate more of the omelet than she did the blueberry muffin she had to go with it.
So, diced, grilled chicken, diced onions, and jalapeno peppers sauteed in a tiny bit of olive oil, then topped with cheese and salsa and served in the omelet that I whipped up with just a bit of sour cream mixed in to add flavor and texture. No celery in sight.

I love these types of breakfasts. I need to fill my fridge. I had to throw out all of my pickled jalapeños and hot sauces when I moved. It's time to restock!

OK-

I am in with a 28 minute arms and abs circuit. I don't know if it's just the stress of moving, but my gosh, I am struggling to get through these workouts. This was mostly a body weight circuit, but the abs section killed me. I hate doing straight legged sit ups. I am too long in the torso for that! I just modified and did what I could. My arms are shaking, though. My legs are still sore from Wednesday's workouts, too! LOL

I unpacked a total of two boxes today. Haha. I am just exhausted. I even took a nap today! I never nap unless I am sick. I am just going to go with it and not beat myself up about it. I'll get a few more high quality sleeps under my belt and I should be back to normal.

I have a degree in Nursing so I certainly know the importance of working out and staying healthy. I actually start my 1st Official Nursing Job at an Urgent Care Facility on October 3rd.

Congrats and welcome! I let loose a bit at WDW, too. I usually just try things I can't get anywhere and I figure all the walking mitigates the scale damage--at least I hope it does.

Walking is huge at WDW and we all get our fair share of it there. We burn calories there so we can eat more. I wouldn't eat like a glutton, but splurging on vacation is fine. The key is staying active and staying away from Junk Foods the majority of the time. Nothing wrong with a Mickey Head Ice Cream Bar in moderation though, but not 14 of them in a weeks trip.

Got back from two weeks in WDW last week. I gave myself several days to recover. Didn't feel too good for a couple of days (female issues), but now I'm getting back to working out.

Yesterday I only did about 20 minutes. I did two 10-minute segments on my Pilates DVD, the ab workout and arm and shoulder shaper.

Today, I wandered around Target, and decided while I was wandering to get some decent workout clothes and stop working out in old t-shirts and my PE shorts from high school. I bought two new athletic shirts, a pair of legging that are supposed to come down to halfway down the knee on most people but are down to my ankles (still look good though) and a better pair of athletic shorts that fit better.

And before you ask, I didn't just wander Target and buy workout clothes. I actually used them. I did 30 minutes on my mini trampoline and then 30 minutes on the statinary bike. Tomorrow will probably be a strength training and abs day, Sunday another cardio day, and then we'll see next week as I am restarting school and starting a new job. Thinking Mondays will be off days.

I'm thinking about investing in a Fitbit. I'm doing a long three week trip to California and then to WDW in January, and it would be interesting to see how many steps I do in DL per day vs. WDW, but I think I need to do some research. I don't want to be nagged by it if I lay on my bed all day because I have a migraine or asthma symptoms, which does happen.

Concerning the Fitbit you will not be nagged by it at all if you have a day that you don't put it on and use it and just lay around in your room. When you use it the Fitbit will count your steps as well as Calories burned and other things according to the one you invest in. I think it is a wonderful investment especially if you do a lot of walking or workouts.

Another good place for workout clothes is Old Navy. Sign up for their email and you'll get notice of their sales. Last fall, I got two pairs of capris, 3 tanks and 2 sports bras for $80 all in--shipping included. I once bought a tank top and yoga shorts at Lululemon and it cost me $112 for two pieces. Never again. Don't get me wrong, they are cute and I bought them about three years ago. But they don't have the gusset in the shorts, just a regular seam and because of that some yoga poses aren't so comfortable.

I have a Fit Bit One and it doesn't make any noise or vibrate to "nag" me into motion. I notice if I put it flat on a surface, after a minute the little screen will flash something like, "MOVE IT" or STEP ON IT," but it's silent.

OK, so this is kinda unrelated, but my wife bought me a suit coat, two pairs of pants, a white dress shirt and a checker Chaps casual shirt yesterday at Kohl's. It was all on clearance and she also had the Kohl's 30% off if using the Kohl's card coupon. It came out to a little more than $88 for the entire purchase. On the receipt, at the bottom, it proclaimed, "You save $441 today."
She did not find it funny when I told her to go shopping some more and save us enough to buy a convertible. She did not find it funny the last time I told her that either.
The correct response apparently was "Thank you dear for the lovely new clothes and for being so thrifty in the process."

LOL Kohl's is notorious for marking up their merchandise and then having these "mega, blow out" sales. My mom shops there and she's always telling me, "Look, I saved $X on all of this stuff."

Maybe it will just take a bit longer this time. It makes sense that if you've cut some calories and increased your exercise, your weight is bound to lower in time. It's hard from getting frustrated, though. I've had times when I've lost weight easily, and others when I've struggled to drop every pound. I've read that sometimes it's helpful to drink extra water during the day to flush out your system--supposed to help a bit to fill you up, and also assist in dropping pounds. Don't give up.
What she said. You can always add veggies to bulk up your meals without adding calories:D

Hello everyone! Just been outside finally finishing up some painting while we have been dry. Now, I need to select the color for my house. It takes me forever to decide. But, I picked up two samples today and I actually like one of them. We will see.
We have been getting in our walking every evening after dinner which has been nice. Not fighting thunderstorms has been nice for a change. I had to start the week slow and build up. I think I had food poisoning Sat night. Not pretty! But, my DH and I ate the exact same things all day. What is up with that? Anyways, I have been eating everything in sight since then. I am not going to worry about the extra calories since I lost some Sat night. :D
Hope everyone has a gorgeous weekend. DH is on call so hoping those storms stay away and he doesn't have to work. Hope @figmentfan423 is returning home safely and let's us know when she gets back!
THNX I got back last night in the middle of the night. I didn't get much sleep because it was farm market Saturday and there was no food in my house. I did some easy yoga before heading out.
