Oh, one more thing...the photo of the meatloaf with tomatoes and the broccoli salad shows a stark contrast to what used to be served with meatloaf. Typically mashed potatoes dripping with butter (or a big ole serving of french fries), a bowl of baked beans laden with brown sugar and bacon, maybe a tray of biscuits, then a big ole piece of cake topped with ice cream. Then later would be a meatloaf sandwich loaded with mayo and a half bag of tater chips. So, eating good is easy, I don't really miss all the other stuff except maybe the chips, and while I am at a weight loss plateau and have to start trying harder to drop some more pounds, eating better can be fun and tasty.
I am still at the point of eating better but still too much. If only calories weren't so tasty and water was.
Plateaus stink but are quite normal. Go more by how your pants are fitting, how you're feeling and your numbers. Those are all more important than the number on the scale.

OK-I am back in Illinois. I got home much later than planned last night because of storms in Chicago. I could have done without the bouncy flight and the holding pattern over Lake Michigan.

I got my hair cut with color and high lights put in this morning. This is as good as my hair will look until he does it again. LOL I want to workout, but I want my hair to stay fresh. Dilemmas. ;)

I think I'll give it a bit more time and workout. :)

I got my hair colored and cut last week while I was on vacation. I didn't do anything too strenuous for a few days--wanted to look like a model and not mess up with my gorgeous hair! ( :cautious: . . . actually, I "might" have used the new hairdo as an excuse o_O to not exercise . . . :p)

I am jealous of people who don't need to wash their hair every day. I know you shouldn't wash your hair everyday, but I have very oily skin. My hair looks so stringy and lanky, if I don't.

OK-

I did workout. I did a You Tube video. It was OK, I may do it again on Wednesday. :)

I had my mail on hold while we went to visit my husband last week and all of my mail showed up today. I noticed something flying around the back and didn't think anything of it. When I removed the 3 lbs of mail, at the rear of the box, I saw about five wasps building a nest! I told myself I would come back with a can of Raid at dusk, well, I chickened out.

I guess I could try tomorrow or I could wait until my husband flies back Friday. Heaven knows what they'll have built by then. I have a friend who had a wasp nest in backyard and he burned it up with hair spray and a lighter.

I don't blame for for chickening out. I have no love for wasps!

According to local TV weather, today marks 46 days so far this season of 90 plus degrees, with no end in sight. My yard looks like fall with so many dried up leaves on the ground. If we get any rain any time soon and I have to mow the grass, I will have to get out the leaf blower first. The yard is brown and crunchy. It is 95 and climbing right now. It hit 98 yesterday. My wife has offices in several cities she has to go to. The place she is today hit 101 yesterday and probably will again today. Rant over.

Sorry but I like this weather. Stay cool my friend

We are leaving for WDW on the 5th and because of all the money involved in buying a house and the money my husband has been spending on hotels and food while away, we didn't buy our tickets until Saturday. I must say, I do miss getting your Fps when you got the park. I started making FPs after I bought the tickets and I only made it until Monday of our vacation week when my husband told me to stop. He said he doesn't like all of this pre-planning. There are no Frozen FPs left and I am all right with that, but I do miss the days when we would walk down to the bus stop at our resort and hop on to the next bus and enjoy which ever park it was headed.

I am kind of concerned with how the rest of the vacation is going to turn out. I mean, I get it from my husband's perspective. He has been flying back and forth every weekend since mid-May and he wants to have a fun, but leisurely vacation. But I am worried about which rides will be available.

Sing it sister friend! I love planning, my lists have lists but sometimes it's just nice to have a day to go with the flow. We're going to do that on most of our UNI days. I'll let you know how that goes when we get back. How long are you going for?

We're going for nine days. We're flying in late on the 5th, staying at All Star Sports that night and moving to Boardwalk in the morning. So, we're going to the parks for 8 days. I'm kind of kicking myself for buying a ticket with that many days on it. I didn't mind making dinner reservations in advance, but the rides are a bridge too far for me. I know people try to draw comparisons between FP+ and trips to cities like NYC and Paris and how you have to make reservations in advance for attractions. Well, I went to Paris last year and got tickets to go up the Eiffel Tower three days before we went and when I lived in London, I had no issue with waking up and deciding to go to a museum that day and get this...getting in! So, those comparisons fail for me.

Oh, no! Was that the only vegan, GF option for you?

I have three ADR's, I think--Il Mulino, V and A (anniversary dinner!) and Afternoon Tea at the GF. Anything else, I am either cooking in the villa or we will stroll over to Epcot.
No it's been replaced with a wedge salad. No more nice spring greens just cheap iceburg cut into wedges. Very lazy on their part. We have 11 ADRs one is BOG lunch. I have one we may drop. I have 3 ADRs for a week at UNI they are our must try places. I'm hoping to only have to cook breakfast and a couple of dinners at the condo. I'm taking a real vacation!:D
