working out for Disney

Dusted off the recumbent bicycle this evening, pumped up the tires, lubed the chain and rode it for awhile. Wow, the first real ride of the season is definitely a workout. I am sore in places I had almost forgotten about. Gotta ride more often.
Good for you, I've been out for a long time.....Hubby has been dealing with a kidney stone, that required surgery. We are both good now. We have a Disney trip in 20 days. We are working on getting up earlier. That's hard at our age....I became another year older 68 now. So we have slowed down big time. I'm starting back on my bike tomorrow for 3 minutes. Stress kept me away from doing any exercise. I didn't have the strength for it, when worrying about hubby. Life intervene's for all of us. But we need to pick up and go on at some point. Everyone on here has been so help full to pick up and go on. A special thanks to @figmentfan423 for starting this thread. As I have heard....two steps forward and one step back....

And sometimes it is two steps forward, then another step forward! And that is a good thing.
Kidney stones are the worst ever. My last had to be removed too, then a stent for three days. That was awful. It does get better though.
Hope you have a wonderful trip!

Hello-

I was only able to get a walk in yesterday. My grandmother lives a few blocks away from me and she sometimes sleepwalks. She fell down trying to get out of her bed as she was sleeping. I went over to help her and to watch her for a bit to make sure she was OK. Her face is all bruised as is her right arm. She seemed OK otherwise. So, I came home and it was about 2 PM and the deck builders hadn't showed up yet. They showed up at 3 and left at 7. Ugh. I didn't want to workout while they were here because they are only a few feet away and I am incredibly self-conscious. So, I went for a long walk and got Thai carry outs for dinner.

So today is a workout day, for sure. They are here now and hopefully, since it's Friday, they'll ****** off at 4. LOL
Oh I hope your grandmother is ok!!
Don't you have an arrangement with the people about when they are supposed to start? People being late is a huge pet peeve of mine. Everyone is late once in a while when there are extenuating circumstances, but some people are perpetually late and I hate that...especially the ones who proudly profess their lack of punctuality like it's a desirable trait. I started putting 14:00 on the birthday invitations when I wanted people to start showing up at 15:00 because otherwise we had to sit there for an hour and a half waiting for the first people to get there and then everything is late. Sorry....I hope they get it done soon so you can take back your house.

I didn't get the greatest workout tomorrow. I went for a walk with the kids to the park, but hubby came with us and he hates walking, so we didn't get to go as far as we usually do and not at the speed I'm used to, but at least I got out and walked.
Today I did the Leslie Sansone 3 mile, but I'm now at my in-laws' for mother's day so I won't be getting a workout in tomorrow.

She is better today. Thank you for asking. I am taking her out for brunch tomorrow.
The builders finished yesterday, thank god. It was driving me crazy. I think we got a good deal on it, because the guy couldn't work on it full-time. He works at Ace, so when he wasn't there, he was here.

I have stones too. I had a stent in for two weeks. So annoying. Every movement had to be thought about. As would this hurt. I spent many days, figuring out what would hurt or not.

Me again.

I finished Body Pump. It's beautiful outside, so I might go for another stroll. My son is at his 8th Grade dinner dance tonight. It's very quiet around these parts.
I hope he enjoyed the dinner dance, with his friends. Those days are so special. I remember my 7th grade dance so well. That was my first "formal" dance, with a special gown and all.

Hello-
I tried a new workout today for kicks. It was a dance work out. I did it while my husband was at the gym. It was fun, I could have done without the twerking-type moves with my son around though. LOL

So, I have someone giving me the silent treatment. I have been trying get this person to talk to me. They keep ignoring me. I guess I should stop trying then? It just hurts, though. :(

I am going to make chicken and veggie skewers shortly. Have a good evening.

Thank you, and a very happy Mother's day to you. I hope someone makes you breakfast in bed. I have that covered, I'm making a peanut butter bread pudding for tomorrow. Hubby has the instructions to put it in the oven!

I'm so sorry, I sleep walked as a kid. I was found trying to unlock the front door. My dad found me and put me back in bed. It's hard when you wake up and can't figure out where you are. I did this a lot as a kid. It's super scary for the sleepwalker. I hope she is okay . I now wrap myself papoose style in blankets at night. It takes a lot of strength to get out of that. By the time I'm awake, and ready to get up, I know to wrap myself up again.

I ordered my grandmother some bed railings. This has happened a few times before. Both my grandmother and her sister sleepwalked as children, too. I have the opposite. I get sleep paralysis. I feel like I am awake, but I can't move. This happens when I sleep too much, so whenever I get up in the morning, I stay up. Otherwise, I get sleep paralysis and that can be scary sometimes.

I had paralysis after surgery and couldn't breath. The nurses kept telling me to breath, but I couldn't, until I passed out. That is very scary. The anesthetic wasn't good enough and I semi woke up while being wheeled out of surgery. I feel for your pain. I can't imagine what you have gone through. It only happened to me once. It was the scariest thing in my life. I'm so sorry you have this. Once was enough for me.
