working out for Disney

OK, you vegetarians out there look away. Smoked a 10lb Boston Butt for 11 hours Saturday to an internal temp. of 200. It was very moist and tender and shredded very easily. Pulled pork is one of my favorites. No carbs, very tasty and goes with just about anything. 17 degrees and windy here this morning so I won't be walking this off today.

I would make tacos out of this.

I'm so sorry to hear that but i think you may be right nothing is worth an injury! Be safe and heal quickly! how about going back to yoga for a while? It's just a thought as you won't be bouncing around. I really am impressed you put up with her for so long.

Yeah, I began dreading my workouts because they were just obnoxious. I do like the hiit workouts, because you get in there, bust your butt and you're done before you know it. But the longer ones filled me with dread. I can only take so much duck face into the camera before I lose my cool.

I did some cardio and then a toning work out that used gliding discs. The cardio was a bit boring, but the toning was fun and I didn't feel beat up afterwards.

I made a big batch of guacamole tonight. Costco had 6 avocados for $4. How can you say no? So, I've been munching on that.

Good morning I just did 30 minutes of stretching (Jessica Smith) Seeing it's snowing I'm going to make the most of my zen day and stay inside. A nice warm epsom salt bath, facial and some yoga. I really wanted to go raw but not in this weather LOL I hope all of you are having a great weekend

have you tried the frozen veggies that come in the bag you can just pop in the microwave some of them are very good almost like fresh!:hungry::hungry::hungry: best part almost no sodium

Wow, really? No, I didn't know about those. I'll look this morning when I go grocery shopping. I hope I can find those; different stores carry different lines. That's a good point about no sodium, too.

good morning just checking in with LS's 5 mile fat burning walk. With the weather the way it is I'll do some relaxation yoga or stretching later. I made it through the storm with no problems, my road is even clear. I can't sat the same for the back roads. I'm glad I live on a "main" road. I hope @epcotisbest didn't have any problems with the storm. Have a great rest of the weekend!

I think they might be really for 2. Sorry about that. I'm used to feeding an army:facepalm:

Actually, I did see a few packages for 2 and almost bought one. But I only wanted a single serving, and since you nuke them right in the bag, it wouldn't work for me--I'd end up dumping half the bag. Of course, I could just buy bags of frozen veggies and boil up some in a pan, but during the work week, I'm too lazy! :joyfull:

Hey Figgy! Hope you and your family are safe and warm.
We fared just fine with the beginning of the storm that eventually made it up your way. It started out here as very heavy rain then transitioned to a light freezing rain, then eventually to snow, but we only got about a half inch of snow.
That snow is now just about gone. Here is a photo of our back deck I just snapped.
I have been watching the news about how much snow came down up north. I just can't imagine that much snow. I think I might like to experience it once, but then would have to come back home to Georgia.

Leftovers...we love leftovers. We will cook up a big pot of beans on the weekend then eat on them for several days during the week. Today is a big pot of green beans, tomatoes and onions, with a bit of garlic and oregano. Easy to later put a small serving in a pan or microwave and warm up quickly for a single serving, or in our case, serving for two. Sometimes we get tired of it before it is gone. If so, we will just take what is left after a few days and freeze it for later.
Thinking about a big ole pot of chili with ground turkey for later. No problem there as it goes well with the green beans and tomatoes. My problem is I like cornbread with the chili, then I eat too much cornbread, with all the carbs I don't need.

I tried something new today called Piloxing. The person doing it said to use light gloves and i usually laugh when somebody says go light. I'm so glad I listened for a change LOL It hit everything i wanted today. The one I found had lots and lots of reps but not in a boring way. Just the right amount of high energy and catching your breath.:inlove: I also got out and was able to get in 3 miles outside and a mile of intervals inside. I'm wiped LOL
