Not entirely because the wishing star originated in Pinocchio.
It's a crossover as part of the DFU... Disney Fantasy Universe.

The Disney princesses appeared in Sophia's series. Elena was a spin-off of Sophia. Elena's friend mentions she celebrates Christmas. So, Christianity exists in this universe, so, that connects it to Hunchback in the Cathedral of Notre Dame.

Tiana makes a wish on the wishing star so now Pinocchio and Wish are part of the DFU.

There’s a way to get great audio of the show if anyone is willing to spend the money to stay at one of the Disneyland resort hotels. There’s a tv channel in the rooms you can flip to during the fireworks to hear the soundtrack in your room. They also have the same thing at the Contemporary.

The guidelines of every character in Wondrous Journeys. You can see where the 62 animated films appeared. Have anyone see Wish the upcoming film as Disney mentioned? Not yet, but there's a part of Wishing, so it makes tribute to the upcoming film.

We got another clean soundtrack of WJ (Still no source audio there but almost like how this will appear when the song released digitally), almost no crowd sound here. However, it excluded the opening narration about 100 years of Disney Animation.

First performance of Wondrous Journeys with fireworks but in B-Mode. We already seen projection-only show for weekdays and fireworks for weekends, however audience would not complaint if they shown WJ in projection-only in weekends in case of special events or high-winds/poor weather. We already seen like that at 7.30pm performance on February 5.

This reminds me of a thought I had the other day.

Disneyland could easily do this sort of pyro-lite mode all weeknights in off season. And then Full Pyro weekends and peak season.

No reason that can’t do a castle pyro only showing during projection nights, could even add low level stuff at RoA and IASW.

Pretty good B-mode! Only so much you can do with the castle launchers so it did get a little repetitive but better some pyro than none at all. Nice to see the parallel in design to the A-mode (each singer in the Quartet still has their own specific shell unique to them in both modes, for example).

Had the exact same thought re: off season.

It's on my wish list that they use both the floating fire effect when the castle uses it in the show + the pyro launchers in the finale as a little touch.

This is totally possible. Just look at the international parks, where it's strictly prohibited by law to have high pyro/shells. DLP gets around this by having castle/FL-pyro only shows nightly. HKDL and Shangai also.

Wondrous Journeys already has a lot of low level pyro, all synced up nicely. So it would be fine to just have that B-mode show operate during the weekdays if they so choose. But it's all because of $$ probably in the end.

And don't get me started on Fantasmic! lol, truly a travesty for the past decade or so with how it's operated..

I'm surprised. They added so much additional castle pyro throughout the show. Especially during Immortals, all the new pyro with crackles makes it 10x better. The Wondrous reprise finale is also so much better with the additional pyro, and that ending with the exploding comets, very HEA and DE-like.

I would call this more A-mode lite. B-mode would be when they just turn off the high shells and leave the rest of the show untouched. But it seems like they planned ahead with this showing and equipped the show with more pyro and different sequences.
