Sorry if this has been posted already,

Screamscape, laughingplace, and other sites report that The wonders of life is closed forever, the dome of the pavilion will be gutted and reused as special events space, while they will wall off the parts of the buildings for body wars and Cranium Command. They will also remove / paint over the body wars mural.

I cannot believe they are doing this but some of the people who reported it else where I trust.

Thats so sad, there isn't many 80's attractions left I mean I can imagine it would cost as much money to demo it as it would to spruce it up a little. Ya know fresh paint, etc.:brick:

The place has been dead for years. Even when it was open it was dead. This is a long time coming, let them get rid of it and start over, WoL has gone to the great theme park in the sky......:sohappy:

wow... this is like the 4th time I've heard this rumor since it became seasonal. Didn't we have the same rumor last year that Wonder's of Life was to be gutted, Body Wars was no longer working and such? I, myself, won't believe it to be closed till I see hard proof due to how many times I've seen it talked about. It's almost as bad as the old wand rumors.

Have you walked into Wonders of Life recently? Its like walking back into the 80s! It's time has come, and its prime real estate for something new. I imagine it will be used for special events until they decide what they want to do with the space.

Aw man. I've never even had a chance to ride any of the rides or even go into the Wonders of Life. Now I guess it's a waste of space since it's not going to open again untill there are special events.

This is not good at all--this is not for guests. It's another empty building being turned over for private events. Sickening. I would say "I hope it's only temporary", but after walking by Millennium Village and Odyssey, I know better.

Special Events? Yeah - it has a lot of space, but they're already using the defunct Odyssey and Millenium building for this. Do we really need to use space that could be used for a new pavillion?

Hopefully it's only temporary (if it's true).

Mom said she read somewhere that mellenium village was having small issues with rain, perhaps it's temporary time has come? Of course it could be hear say and not true. But i dont know why unless they are thinking of something with one of the 2 current structures?

Here's an idea, lets start a WdW Magic fund and host a private party for the members here. It may just be someone's only chance to experience such thrills as Body Wars and Cranium Command.

I'll call Disney and see how much we need raise....

Tragic if true. No wonder people don`t recognise there is a ride inside of Imagination if they see Life and Odyssey (two buildings hard to miss) walled off. I`m not saying re open it as is, but to let it sit and make money from it whilst regular guests just look at it is just bad. And to think we had a glimmer of hope with Imaginations upstairs doing the rumour mill.... give with one hand, take with the other. SO Pressler.

407-828-3200. Private event at Wonders of Life in Epcot. Have your dates ready and a ball park number of people. You'll be assigned a sales manager who will create a few quotes for you.

Keep in mind WoL is a larger location which equals more $$$

TBH, the only bit in Futureworld I liked back in the 80's was Imagination ride. Now that's been kind of hamstringed. :/ I never really like the "edutainment" aspect of EPCOT. The "edu" part was always a bit light for me. It felt sorta like a very big, very expensive children's museum. I visited Epcot last week for the first time in 13 years, and I liked it MUCH better than the last time I was there. Mission: Space was awesome! Soarin' was fun! But to each his own I suppose.

I knew this was coming. It is the last thing in Future World that is left from when the park open in the 80s.

They need to turn it into a new attraction though. I get its 18 years old and isn't new and exciting. But seriously, 3 major spaces at Epcot are now for "private events" only. The Odyssey does host the Illuminations Grand Gathering, but still - that's a lot of "private" space.

I get that = big bucks, but no wonder the Soarin' line is so long. Don't take attractions away! We already have a partial park at MGM.

We were just there last week and it said WoL open seasonally. I thought if June isn't seasonally I don't know when else is.

Very pathetic if true. For what could be worth while areas of this park and they continue to make convention areas out of them is horrible.
I know world showplace comes in handy for many different kind of events but that could be a great international pavilion of some sort, and the Odyssey could be used as a big character meal instead of Norway, (return Norway to Norway and not a chaotic zoo like it is now) and of course Wonders of Life could still make for a great Health pavilion if redone.
