What would the capicity be? 600-1000? What about Odessy and MV? 300 each. I still don't get the downside to this, especially if it isn't a money loser anymore???

That is why WoL will be a special events pavilion for a very long time.
Until they can find a sponsor who will kick in the $$$ needed to "place" their product into Epcot. I guess that with the way that any drug company can get an ad on national television these days (ED, RLS, GRD, or the Sally Field Bone Loss [ it seems everyday that they have a new syndrome { I want the "butterfly sleeping pill}], the "need" to sponsor a "Health Pavillion" is kind of low on any Company's "Marketing Budget". I think that they need to step away from the "medical health" view of the pavillion, and maybe build a pivillion that will "give hope for the future". Move the CoP from the MK, and add a(n) Horizons kind of ride to it. "This is how we used to live, this is how we live today, this is how we might live in the future". Of course they'd have to not rely on the GE stuff:lol: , but come up with a pavillion that will inspire the familys of the future.

That's a good idea, at least you don't want an empty building. I agree, make it a pavilion of some kind that guest can use. However others here are content to have a special events pavilion. Let's see the excuse for that is it's not in use right now. It will not be in use except for special events until Disney actively goes out, and seeks a sponsor. How long did it take to get Siemens for SSE. Doesn't anyone there have an original idea anymore. Is the sales dept. so weak they can't go out , and find a sponsor anymore. If some one can tell me they have actively pursued sponsors for the last 5 years, and came up empty I'm find with a convention bldg. until they find a sponsor.. If Disney assured everybody they were actively seeking a sponsor now, but until they got one it would be used for coventions, I'm find with that. Nobody need bother, and tell me Disney doesn't owe me an explanation on how they use their facilities. However it sure would be a sign of good faith on their part to let their loyal fans, and guest know they were not forgotten in the decision.

Sad... it wasn't completed the first time I went to EPCOT... and it was no longer open the next time I went to Epcot.:(

I would've liked to see Body Wars, etc...

But hey, since it is so much like Star Tours (or Star Tours so much like Body Wars), why not make it a Star Wars themed pavilion?

Would that be so bad?

Just make it like a Coruscant-themed area, throw the original Star Tours in it when 2.0 comes to MGM (Pixar) whatever-studios.

If they can throw Nemo in AK and Epcot, why not put some SW love in 2 parks? It fits the "space" theme entirely... that side of the park is more spacey already, right?

I can see it now... Coruscant Convention Pod featuring Star Tours. (The dome does kinda look prequel).

by the way... does this kind of history have an influence on what stays and what gets tanked? --> http://www.snopes.com/disney/parks/bodywars.htm

ON second thought....

Bring back HORIZONS!!! http://www.intercot.com/themeparks/epcot/media/horizonsride.ram

It always seems that there is a rumor floating around regarding when the Wonders of Life pavilion will be shut down and demolished forever. So far, it hasn't happened...yet. Hopefully, through some classic Disney magic, the Cranium Command attraction is saved when they do finally decide to replace the pavilion. I dream for just one more day at Epcot with Wonders of Life open...after all, isn't this the Year of a Million Dreams????

How about restoring "wonderment" in its place

I was very nostalgic when they got rid of Horizons, and to this day I still think it was the best "wonderment" ride at Disney. Back in the 80's my mind was abuzz with ideas that WDW inspired. Dreams of a better future with incredible cities and technologies to dazzle us.

In 1992 I submitted an idea to Disney and discovered they dont take unsolicited ideas :veryconfu It was a 32 page concept that took Star Tours ride to a whole new level, I called it "A trip through the galaxy".

I have finally transferred that work to my web site www.dreamersempire.com with the intent to restore affections for a Disney full of wonderment, and not just thrill rides.

I mention it here because we (my brother and I) thought the Wonders of Life and area around it would be the perfect place to put this attraction.

To see this whole attraction and help us turn it into something really great just let me know you are interested, its hidden within a private forum there.

I'm really quite serious about this, and about two months ago I came up with an idea that I think will start the ball rolling, I plan to launch this idea in 2007.
