Yep. It's bizarre. Inside Out literally handed them a Cranium Command replacement. And all they have is a meet and greet. Baymax/Big Hero 6 could fill the WOL health/science void, or even put it in one of the Innovention buildings ... I mean, WALL-E, BH6 and Inside Out have literally handed them somewhat appropriate IP for Epcot and they do nothing with them.
Guardians makes no sense in Epcot. Tomorrowland or Hollywood Studios were the better options. It didn't 'need' to be a coaster, either. TRON should have gone into Future World and Guardians into Tomorrowland. Although I think they could theoretically keep Star Tours when SWL opens, I'm not against a re-theme of it and Guardians would have fit perfectly as a replacement there.

That was my guess as well. It looks like they're sanding everything down around the joints, re-sealing them, then putting a base coat of paint on.

I’m surprised to see they are painting the building so dark. I thought the new bright gold color was the final look but apparently it is going to be painted that very dark gold which makes it look dirty to me.
Also I still say this is going to disappoint people when it opens with no new theme or attractions.

Well, you COULD if it was a weather themed pavilion... it's a "feature" that every afternoon there is an actual rainstorm (with real rain) within the pavilion (which just so happens to happen the same time as the thunderstorm happening outside of the pavilion)

I believe the final color of the repainted WoL, is the gold on the very back (on top of the show buildings). If you remember, that is where work on the roof first started and where it first finished. So we should be seeing a similar shade of gold that it originally was...before fading into the current mess.

Just throwing a guess out there but there might be a tower crane coming for guardians. It looks like crane pieces on the far right next to the foundation. I could be wrong though.
