Wondering if the disney magic is strong enough to find love

I always hear about women looking for a "nice" guy. Thing is, it's been my experience that whilst many will say that, the aspects of a male they find attractive are those relating to being an arrogant barstuard .

I can be having a conversation with a girl who is spouting about how wonderful it is to be able to talk to a caring male who is not totally self-centred and a complete git. Then they leave with the loud mouth yob who caught their eye.

It seems that nice is desired, just not found attractive.

It's true. That's the reason my John was so often overlooked (before I snatched him up, of course!). Now everyone asks me, "Where can I find a guy like that?"

I bite my tongue but I often want to say "You've probably passed plenty up already."

Of course, it's a curse of both genders.

There are also a lot of girls out there who still have the Bad Boy syndrome. You know what- I did the bad boy thing, and almost wound up dead. I'll take my nice guy, thank you very much!!!

You got a sister? :lookaroun

I had a date lined up for Sunday, but got an email today saying a friend has invited her someplace so she is going to do that instead.....

Oh well.... at least I won't have to waste any more time on her.

Next!

Sorry to hear she broke the date. :(
Have you and this girl talked on the phone or meet before?
I was just curious, cause she could have called you instead of sending an email to break the date.

What can I say, I'm a genuine guy who is sweet. I think that's one reason it took so long to find the perfect person. I was always the person who was everyone's best friend. I become friends with everyone very easily and end up becoming too good of friends that it's at the point where you don't want to start a relationship because you're afraid you'll lose the friendship. Luckily I found the one where the relationship is about as perfect as it gets and the friendship will never die.

And you're very welcome! I love helping everyone out and making new friends, as shy as I might be.

Aww, yeah that's my boy! He's a total sweetie and we are in love like no one else. Scott, I love how you said "the friendship will never die" that's awesome! We have grown so much and I hope for anyone to have this kind of relationship! Love ya babe!

I'm picturing a planned meet for all the lonely pining hearts on this thread. Can't you just imagine it? We all meet up at WDW and the sparks begin to fly.

Lonely Pining Guy: Sup?

Lonely Pining Gal: Not much.

LPGuy: So you like Disney, huh?

LPGal: Oh, yah. Yep yep.

LPGuy: *nods awkwardly*

LPGal: Sooo...you into stuff?

LPGuy: Yeah, yeah. I like stuff...like it a lot.

LPGal: That's awesome.

LPGuy: You have any pets?

LPGal: I had a cat...it got heartworms and then got hit by a car.

LPGuy: Aah...well...hey, look, somebody selling ice cream!

LPGal: Yeah....I like ice cream.

LPGuy: *nods awkwardly*

LPGal: Well...I think I see some people.

LPGuy: Oh, yeah, people. I like people.

LPGal: Right. Well...nice meeting you.

LPGuy: Yeah yeah. It was great. So...can I IM you tomorrow?

LPGal: I'll be on all night!!! We can catch up on everything!

LPGuy: Sounds great!

Isn't it wonderful how technology can bring people together?

I'm just passing my bad boy syndrome and truth be told, it's not all that it's cracked up to be. I thought I was looking for some excitement but I just ended up getting hurt instead. Currently, I'm not looking for a relationship and thought I would concentrate on myself instead for awhile. So far, the best relationship I've had. :)

Unless I buy myself something from a catalog without looking and tell the operator to just get me everything on page 17...that way I'll be suprised when I receive it in the mail. Okay, funnier in my head.

It makes it hard sometimes when your a nice guy and a girl that you treat nicely and do just about anything for goes and dumps you for the bad boy type, makes a fellow question his standards and feelings at times. I truly and honestly can't figure out what women are looking for, when l thought l had the slightest idea, they(women) up and changed the rules on me. Oh well i'll either get lucky and be married or a very mixed up single guy fot the rest of my life, lol.

Page 17? *flick, flick, flick, flick*
What's even funnier is wondering what you are going to do with a dozen different styles of bathroom cabinet

Fortunately I don't have a problem with my standards and am proud I still keep them high rather than adhere to the morals of pond life in order to get my leg over.

Feelings wise, I've probably hardened up so that I doubt I'm going to fall in love in a hurry. But maybe I'll saunter in a vaguely downwards direction ;)

I think we all ned to keep hope (I keep him in my pocket and let him out on special occassions -such as meeting new people and getting reacquainted with the old- LOL  ).

But seriously, if we all stress out so much about finding love or "using" the Disney magic to find love, what will it get us? Boring lives full of dissapointment and dashed hopes of imagined happiness and love with strangers who do not know the first thing about us. . . Just live life and enjoy it while you can! Waiting around for someone will only waste your time. Why wait when you could enjoy it and possibly meet someome doing the same things you enjoy in the process? :p :brick:

Ok like everyone i've had my bad experiances, but i'm not giving up my morals or standards because of it to impress someone ,i've just often wondered what minior changes l could have done to maybe catch a young ladys interest, forgive me if l made it sound bad what l wrote before. As far as finding love,i've stoped looking and i'm just waiting to see what going to happen. :)

I don't think it's so much a case of having to make a change to catch a lady's interest, more a case of finding the lady desrving of your interest. There are easy changes you can make to pick up any old slapper on a Saturday night, but that's not what you are interested in.

Or you could put yourself in for the Queer Eye for the Straight Guy makeover

Great idea, Barn! Us ladies sure appreciate it when guys are made fools of themselves on international television!
