yeh, that would be refreshing to get away from the "norm" in all the Nemo characters.

oh, what if they did a duet with Bruce and Co. that would be fun. they could interact between eachother and then with the crowd. like i said previously, i havent seen Turtle Talk yet, so if they already do this..... forgive.

The sharks would be great!!! :D

i think that was one of my favorite parts of the movie..... i think that the dialogue could be endless. especially if they were having their "meeting" and involved the crowd.

and for the potential name "Bruce and Co.", that reminds me of the Mcdonalds meal the "Fish and Co."........... im not sure if i want to pun to be intended. :p

well, obvious statement coming, prepare yourself, but i think that if Crush was in one theater...... Dori could be in the other......... or would that be to much Ellen in Epcot.

then there is the real obvious, Nemo.......... Clown Fish talk with Nemo, nope doesnt sound good.

As a saltwater hobbiest, I HATE the fact that they are adding chesey nemo decorations to the largest saltwater aquarium in America. Might as well add purple gravel and an air powered skeleton. I mean I can understand why THEY would add it, but I still don't like the idea. I loved the movie but wish they could have left TLS like it was, natural loking or not.

Maybe it's just me, but the queue at TLS is one of my favorites. The calm music, the history of exploration, the undersea artifacts ... great stuff!

I've always been a fan of the existing attraction as well but I'm game for a few changes as long as they don't lose the original goal - to educate people about the Seas!

well, i agree with you in the Nemo overkill, but Nemo=kids, kids=parents, and parents=taking their kids to Epcot to see and spending tons of money.

Oh, you are So awesome! I don't remember ever riding that, just the hydrolators. When did they take out the Seacabs? I know I have been to Epcot at least 4-5 times and I don't remember ever seeing that when I went to the Living Seas. Anybody know when they were removed and maybe even why?.
i think the popular vote is that the tunnels were leaking..... but nothing is what it seems on the surface. there were porbably other reasons.

Living seas

I was recently looking at my copy of "Walt disneys EPCOT CENTER: Creating the new world of tommorow" And i realized that this new ride concept for the living seas, is alot like the one in the book. The ride looked like it was originaly going to be much longer. It didnt have the hydrolators. You entered a cave, in which special effects would make it look like you where underwater. Then Neptune would come out and open a curtain/cave That would lead to the seacabs then you would ride through some sets that look like underwaters plants and creatures. This was all dry of course till you got to what we remember as the sea cabs. This Original concept, lends itseld perfectly to nemo. Not saying that there using that original one, but maybe aspects of it........???

HA!!!! I TOLD whoever that was that the ride was coming back, and all he wanted to do was argue, argue, and then argue some more for good measure.
I completely forget who it was, but I owe someone on these boards a nice, big, juicy "I TOLD YOU SO"!!!!

Mwahahahaha! I'm so evil - now all I need is a hat.

This may be the biggest WDW news of the year!!! I miss the heart and soul of this attraction... a fish tank is just a fish tank .. my local zoo has the exact same thing..

Well Im not sure of the exact size of the living seas but heres the size of the largest salt water tank in Atlanta's aquarium, which will hold two whale sharks.....

"Six million of the more than eight million gallons are in the whale shark habitat, a single habitat built specifically to accommodate whale sharks, the largest fish in the world. At its longest, widest and deepest parts, the habitat measures 263’ long x 126’ wide x 33’ deep"

TWO whale sharks?!

Holy... Mackeral. If I saw TWO whale sharks in the same enclosure like that, I might just die. What I'm picturing in my head is amazing.

Anyway. THANK YOU for the news. Any news about my beloved Seas is good news at this point. At least anything that will clear up the good from the garbage.

OK, this may sound crazy but I don't remember the Seacabs either. What kind of ride was it? Any pictures anywhere? Thanks!

What I loved about the seacabs was that they gave everyone (at least for a few minutes) a chance to be right up close to the tank walls and the fish without having to be pushed and shoved by people. Everyone was in their private cab, equal viewing for everyone, very civilized.

Woo hoo! I'll be there (ATL aquarium) at the end of November when it opens.

BTW - Logan5's description of the Living Seas from that Epcot related book sounds a lot like the Poseidon attraction at IOA ... hmmmm

Not even close to the size of TLS' tank. Remember that the SSE geosphere can fit completely inside the tank.

Im not doubting that, But the fact is the atlanta aquariums bigest salt water tank is 263’ long x 126’ wide x 33’ deep and contains 6 million gallons of water.

The Living Seas . From the Epcot Field Guide: The main environment measures 203 feet in diameter by 27 feet deep and contains 5.7 million gallons of salt water
