I had forgotten those existed. Do they even still sell them?
Yes they do...https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/entertainment/made-with-magic/

A new totem pole light wand was also introduced for Rivers of Light...

I feel like the opening of this show could be considered as the point at which the resort turned a corner. It feels like we have had such a long period of lower investment and though things in Florida haven't been as dark as the Pressler Years on the West Coast, it had begun to loose its previous level of shine. With Pandora set to open and the ongoing level of construction and rumors of more construction to come, perhaps this is the turning point? I officially feel like the resort is no longer going downhill!

I have not watched any of the videos of HEA as of yet, but for those saying that Beauty & The Beast and Let It Go are not in HEA because they are in OUAT, is OUAT still rumoured to be closing now that HEA has launched? There were rumours that both would stay and compliment each other when the show was first announced, then closer to launch it was rumoured that OUAT would be ending as there would be no need for 2 nightly projections shows in the same park. So, what is the status of OUAT at the moment?

Welcome to the boards. :)
I too loved Wishes and have many great memories attached to it, but I think this new show looks amazing. I can't wait to see it next March.
Also, if you love and appreciate lighting and entertainment tech, be sure to check out Rivers of Light at DAK during your visit.. A beautiful 16 minute show without pyro, is an impressive feat as well.

Thank you! I will definitely try to do as much as possible. I'll be in Orlando for about 2 weeks so I'll definitely be going more than a couple of times to DW. Super excited!

OK, i'm going to show my ignorance here but need the answer. What is the music (at the 15-16+ minute mark in the WDWMagic video) that I also know from Wishes. I obviously know that from Wishes but it is extended here in HEA

Thanks

Ack. It's Hercules! A movie I only saw once. Need to go and revisit

Go The Distance from Hercules. Another Alan Menken classic!

Thank you. I have seen The Little Mermaid, Beauty and The Beast, Aladdin etc. 10 times+ but for some reason i've only ever watched Hercules the one time. I have no idea why. I've always loved that piece of music in Wishes and thought it was designed just for that show so was surprised when it popped up in HEA.

Watched HEA over 10 times today. I LOVE IT! It's really grown on me. Cannot wait to see it in August.

I love Wishes as much as anyone but HEA is a real 'grower' and I think it's going to be loved as much as Wishes in time.

Give it a chance :)

It definitely gets way better after watching it more than once. IMO the key is to watch different videos so you get different angles, see details, hear better audio, etc.

Some videos are too far from the castle so it's hard to see what's so amazing about the projection. On the other hand, some videos are a little too close so you don't see the lighting and full ambience of the fireworks and effects.

Obviously in person is the most preferred method of viewing :D

I found it amazing. My expectations were minimal to be honest with a lot of rumors that the fireworks would be cut back. This blew me away! Would love to know the % of fireworks with this compared to Wishes. It looked like double at least to me. Good job Disney!
With pandora and this, they are slowly turning me back around. Hope it keeps up.

Was Mickey in Wishes in any form? I honestly don't remember.

Only through the Sorcerer's Apprentice music playing at the start of one segment. You could always get yourself something bearing the head of the Mouse on it to hug to your chest during the fireworks show if you need even more Mickey in your life.

A couple of things that occur to me about HEA and Wishes:
1. Wishes, as sweet as it was could get a little bit too sickly sweet at times.
2. With HEA being a projections/fireworks show, doesn't that make Once Upon A Time a little bit redundant now?
