We can still hear it...It's fine without it. We heard it for nearly 15 years.

When they show the Keyhole at the beginning of the show it reminded me of Kingdom Hearts considering it is a Big thing reflected in the Disney/Squareenix game. And when I saw the opening of the show...This came to mind and I created this....
Considering Wishes' finale was a grand version of that song, using it in Happily Ever After would be boring and predictable. Glad they tossed it to the side.
From outside the park I would say the experience would be very similar to Wishes. The pyro content is largely similar in scale.Sorry if I missed this upthread somewhere, but does anyone have a read on how this looks from outside the park (i.e., Cali Grill deck, Poly beach)? My big concern is that even with a marked increase in pyro volume, missing out on the castle projection show significantly limits the impact of the experience, which wasn't a concern when viewing Wishes from afar.
In my, perhaps wrong, opinion..: I tend to think that Walt, inventor of the multi-plane camera, would love projection shows.
But given the smaller "canvas" it may not be practical to have a projection show. I wonder if They could also project onto Matterhorn?
Indeed. From the moment that The Magic, the Memories, and You! opened, I've wanted a show like this. Increasing it 50% beyond that of Wishes and adding lasers and synchrolites has blown my mind. When You Wish Upon a Star has been the main focus of Disney Firework Spectaculars for so long that a different finale score is welcomed. This show is wonderful and is aimed towards a new generation. I hope we all can understand that the Disney 20 to 50 years ago will be very different than the Disney 20 to 50 years in the future. Things must change, and this change is welcomed greatly.
He did certainly love technological advancement. I think this show would be right up his alley.Walt didn't invent the multi-plane camera. Ub Iwerks did.
Now, having seen it just once, and not in person, I can't pass full judgement on that aspect until about 9:30 pm on October 30 of this year
One of these days, they need to put Destati in a fireworks show.
Plus Disneyland already has Fantasmic! so it's not really necessary to have a huge canvas for projections, and Sleeping Beauty Castle changing in Hong Kong is fine, but Disneyland's is far too iconic.Good show. I love the music.
Nothing is "off-limits." Disney can do whatever they want.
But they wouldn't change Sleeping Beauty's castle in DL because it would cause too much backlash. It's simply a bad idea.
An entire KH projection show would even be better.....Maybe it's just me but, hearing Sephiroth's Theme with Fireworks & Pyro...Would Be friggin AMAZING!!!
Something I actually love about this show is the focus on our newer classics from the late 80's and 90's. I can only hear "Wish Upon a Star" so many times before I want to find all the stars and throw them in a black hole never to be seen again.
