They do a fairly decent job of drowning out the crowd noise DURING the show. There's usually lots of noise before and after. It'll get me through until a true source audio leakes somewhere.
During the Mickey's Royal Friendship Faire stream there was a faire (see what I did there?) bit of crowd noise throughout but I guess that's to be expected. Not trying to be Debbie Downer, just trying to temper your expectations just in case it doesn't turn out stellar.

Trust me, I know audio. ;)

As a westcoaster, I don't feel your loss, though I am sorry for it. Since I am not in the same grieving process as many of you, I've really fallen for the song for Happily Ever After and I look forward to seeing the show. I think it would be perfect, absolutely perfect, for an updated World of Color and think that would be great to see in 2018 at DCA. We still have Remember... Dreams Come True, which features the song from Wishes, and I may argue that that is Disney's best-composed firework show in terms of pacing, narration, nostalgia, romance, etc. There is no redundancy whatsoever and every single voiceover evokes a strong emotion. For those of you who will need to get your Wishes kick, though it won't be the same for you as being in front of Cinderella Castle, you still have the option of coming out to the west coast. And if we got Happily Ever After's score in an update to World of Color, which would be super appropriate given the more contemporary vibe and the hero's journey and the walls of water in that show that would allow for animation to easily be choreographed to it without the need for projection mapping, then we would have BOTH Magic Kingdom scores playing simultaneously on the west coast. Which I guess brings me back to "I'm sorry." Because while I am super excited to see this new show and the score is incredible, arguably far better than wishes musically, there is something to be said about hearing "when you wish upon a star" during a disney fireworks show and wishes clearly blended that perfectly. I remember when Disneyland's 50th began and Remember.. featured the score from "Wishes." People were disappointed that it was a lift from the east coast, that it didn't have its own score. Now it is seamless, and truly blended better than even the original show at the magic kingdom. So I know that people will soon fall in love with this track, be addicted to it, have nostalgia for it. But a 5-minute intro or outro of "when you wish upon a star" rather than a reprise of the firework show's score could go a loong way toward soothing people's pain!

But Jiminy won't be narrating though which is what I will miss the most. He made the nighttime shows extra special. Especially back when Spectromagic still existed. He hosted Spectromagic and Wishes making it feel like he was the host for the nighttime events at MK.

Julie Andrews does a fine job. And each time she returns to narrate, she is introducing a new idea. There is a radical forward progression in the music, in the show's narrative, in the fireworks. It gets very emotional. Walt's Dedication Speech from opening day in 1955 is broadcast over the park at the moment Tinkerbell is revealed, and she flies over the castle much more elegantly than the frantic looking Tink at Magic Kingdom. I'll go back and rewatch some Wishes footage, and read the script, but I don't get that same impression from wishes. It opens with Blue Fairy whereas Disneyland's jumps straight into the wishes orchestra. The show is also different in that it is about Disneyland, rather than just disney classics, so for fans of the theme parks like all of us here, it tugs on those heart strings as well. Again, sorry about your loss. I'm probably just making you more upset lol. Nothing stinks more than having a special place and experience associated with a song. Simply listening to it again doesn't bring it back. Here's Remember... Dreams Come True. Like a new house, it could take getting used to, but you might come to appreciate it with time.

I've always liked RDCT. The use of music from Disneyland's attractions was a strong thematic choice for the 50th. However, I actually dock it down a little for using the Wishes theme as it muddles the them. After all, the show is called Remember...Dreams Come a True, but the song goes on to sing about Wishes. Anyways, I think many posters here are well aware of the existence of RDCT. But Wishes will always have a more special place in our hearts because many of us grew up with the show, watched it with our families, or even introduced it to our children. I'm sure the same can be said for you and others on the west coast. I don't think it's a matter of which show is better, because each show means something to someone for various reasons. And there's nothing wrong with that.

I still prefer Jiminy Cricket's narration especially the exit music heard as guests are leaving the Magic Kingdom. It really hits hard for first time visitors to WDW especially after the final showing in two days. Nothing wrong with Julie Andrews's narration for the DL fireworks but there's something very special about hearing Jiminy's voice that was more welcoming. That and some of the music for that fireworks show at DL is reused from Wishes.

Define "most."

I totally know what you mean. The show is like the soul of the park. It is a delicate thing.

Granted it's only the last 5/6 min(on YT, longer vids are on Periscope)of HEA, but it looks like NO CUTS have been made over the last week. YES! I think MK is all set!

This was the highest and clearest quality I could find! If you could link to an understandable and clearer version that would be amazing! And yes, the show looks awesome so far!! I cannot wait to check it out myself!
