As I've said before, expect laser projection onto the castle too.

And insert my anti-laser rant here:

Lasers that go pew pew or simply point are fine. But when they try to 'draw' a planar shape in the smoke in the air or a illustration on a surface, they suck. They suck mightily. Because they flicker and that is annoying. Like shows where the spotlight hits your eyes or the view is blocked or a speaker is busted, doesn't matter how good the show is, there's something annoying and taking you out of a show.

And lasers using 70's technology still to 'draw' things and flicker worse than an old office fluorescent light is that annoyance.

To me.

Otherwise, looks and sounds great!!

I feel like Disney Dreams and World of Color have used lasers to great effect on the castle / water.

After watching the video more times than I'd like to admit, it looks like they are projecting on to the turrets, which would be the first time MK has had projections on the turrets, unless they upgraded OUAT since debut.

I remain excited about the new show, although I will still really miss Wishes. On another note, I'm a little angry that God did not warn me about the thunder and lightning in the area this morning. Friday is the one day I get to sleep in late, and I was awakened at about 5 or 530.

He should be more considerate. The worst part is that no local news is covering this complaint.

Show looks like it could be a visual treat. Glad it seems that they haven't cut down on pyro too as we worried at first. Will reserve full judgement when I see it in person. I hope they get creative with using the castle surface and don't just treat it as a generic screen to project random images. There was some instances of well executed mapping near the end of the video (like the gears), though some more generic poor mapping as well (the Ursula scene).

Don't like the music at all though, very bland pop and it has nothing on the Wishes theme.

It's hard to tell in the video, but the Ursula scene shows her tentacles wrapping around the turrets, so there is interaction with the castle. Also, the scene was drawn by animators from The Little Mermaid, so I wouldn't exactly call it generic.

The theme song is growing on me, but I agree, it will be hard to top the emotional heights that the Wishes theme reaches.

Its a full on orchestra, but I get it... I can hear the pop vibe, but Wishes was a remixed star light star bright poem at its roots. I reserve final judgement until I actually view the show, but I much prefer HEA's theme song.

I could be wrong but I didn't hear that pop music during the test when it was recorded from the contemporary, It was hard to hear but I heard a full chorus at the beginning and the end, that might be the post show music. Even before tinker bell did her flight at the end it sounded like a kids voice singing.

I haven't watched the test footage, with what little self control I have when it comes to spoilers lol. Personally, I don't mind the pop voices that much, but to each his/her own. I know several people* found the children singing in Wishes pretty irritating.

I liked it, it was a good way to sompliment Spectromagic and keep up the mood of the night, this new show is refreshing as well I have to admit. The music turned out to be more theatrical than pop I feel like just the fact there's an orchestra playing with it. As much as I can care less for it it's better than step into the Magic. It sounds a bit to much like parade music to me. It has a very similar musical style to fantasy in the sky. It has that beat and spunk Fantasy in the sky had and I honestly think that was one thing they were trying to bring back.
