This. We have to. The new show is probably replacing the most inconic visual in the theme park world. It has a lot to live up to. Let's hope it does, if not surpass it.

Because if it doesn't it'll be a real issue.
I would HOPE TDO has that in mind! That it needs to surpass Wishes!

Speaking of Wishes, why are they replacing pyro in the final months???? Is it just supply issues? Or are they testing HEA pyro? I figured they would start that after hours, after Easter

Well soon everyone will be wishing WDW still had Wishes

Unless you've seen a preview of the new show, I don't know why there is a need to be so doom and gloom about it. If it sucks, then let's be outraged. Let's not be outraged before we've even had the first shell fired off. I'm willing to give it a chance. As much as I love Wishes, it's getting a little stale. I actually watched it from the Rivers of America walkway in front of the Liberty Belle just for a different vantage for the first time earlier this month just to feel like we were watching something different.

No outrage here, just expectations being set appropriately i for one would love a show that made me say Wishes what is that. That said

Disneys recent history of underwhelming replacements is more than enough justification for a doom and gloom outlook

Why will it be an issue?, As far as TDO is concerned the tourists are getting a fireworks show and it will likely cost less per show

Yes I know some still care but the default attitude is 'they are tourists what do they know' at TDO

Let's be thankful that we're getting an actual Theme Song!!! DLP just posted the opening scene from Disney Illuminations(Computer Animated) and DLP got SDL's Ignite's Theme: A Dream Is A Wish! Why is recycling so popular now?!?!?! Even TDL used SDL's Ignite's Frozen segment for Frozen Forever ! They didn't even do a full Let It Go for a Frozen Show! I don;t get it!

Exactly... it's actually severely expensive to create new music, and record it/edit it. Much easier for a park with a limited budget that wants a new show to use something already created. I'd rather get a new show with some recycled music then no show at all.. And I know that's a sad perspective when it comes to Disney...

So I guess TDO is paying dearly since they want HEA by full orchestra? I half thought DLP would maybe get HEA's theme since both are premiering within under 2 months.

Most likely. Union musicians cost a pretty penny, let alone hiring someone to create music, arrange it, orchestrate it...

@marni1971 Aside from the already installed search lights on the sides of the castle, will we see anything else new? I think lasers was meantioned. What about park wide search lights? Main Street projections like DL used for Forever? Would still love to see a few fountains added in the water areas around the hub lol. ;)
