For those interested, the Wishes Dessrt Party has been extended through Nov. 1. I just got ressies for Oct. 19. It's extra magic hour, too, until 1 AM--a good opportunity to burn off all of that sugar. :)

How is the viewing from here? Really great?

My understanding of this is, you get on the terrace 1/2 hour before Wishes,
and stuff yourself full of goodies.

Am I missing something, lol?

Sounds like fun. Anyone done it who can elaborate a bit more on what happens, what you get, etc.?

That used to be my favorite spot to watch Wishes. I booked for Sept 4th on a MNSSHP. Excited for Pistachio Cremee Brulee! lol That makes it worth the 20 bucks!

This is the view you get from the Terrace:

I just called and tried to book for Wed, Sept 2nd - it's already sold out :fork: Did they previously announce an extension that I missed???

The extension was announced today. Try back again. Someone else was told a date was unavailable, then it suddenly showed availablilty.

I've never heard of this before! Can someone fill me in in detail?

How do you make reservations? How much for adults/child age 2? What time is it? Where is it located? What is served? Is it worth it for the food or is it just a great place to pay and watch Wishes?

I just tried to make ressies for either 10/19 or 10/21, but there was "nothing available". Of course, my CM wasn't sure they were even doing the Fireworks party then so I am hopeful another call might yield better results.

Just got off the phone again... and we have ressies for 10/21! This time I started with the Disney Travel Company by saying I wanted a "Special Dining Experience". They transferred me to the right person and bang! we are going to the dessert party.

Oh happy day... :)

I recently took part in the Dessert Party, and I thought it was a very classy effort. Being a Type 1 Diabetic, my family indulged more in the sweets than I did, but the spread was very impressive, and what I did have (one cookie and one brownie) had me searching for recipes! The view of the fireworks is in my opinion, very similar to viewing from the Tomorrowland bridge. It isn't that quintessential Main Street view where the bursts surround the Castle. But, Wishes is a great show regardless, and I very much enjoyed the lack of shoulder to shoulder crowds, AND being able to set up my tripod(photographer here) without fear of it getting ran over and all my equipment being destroyed. If it's still available the next time I go, I will certainly do it again. For the 18 bucks it cost, it was well worth it.

If you don't mind me asking, where did you set up your tripod?
