So, they became lazy in their titles and named this movie after the Cruise Ship?? Can't wait for Disney Turkey Leg film to come next....
Apparently this film has been in the works before the Cruise Ship was even given a name. If anything, the Disney Wish Ship would be perfect to represent this movie in the future.

The animation style is aiming for a "2D/3D art style" resembling a watercolored picture book. Also your comparing Apples to Oranges.
It's not apples to oranges, the character design for the star is almost identical to a Luma.

Whee! That looks gorgeous! I’m so hype up for this movie! The animation is gorgeous with 2D and 3D at the same time! It looks like the king is the villain after all! I’m so excited for this movie!

The 2D/3D effect did not really come across on my phone, so it did look a bit off on the small screen. But, when I rewatched it on a much larger screen, you really see the impact of this style. I think this definitely will be one worth seeing on the big screen to get the full impact.

I agree that the 2D touches are much more apparent when you watch the trailer on full screen rather than a tiny screen.

Typical grumpy curmudgeons jumping on the complain-train destination pessimism city.

I thought it looked great and has the potential to be another Frozen/Moana/Encanto in terms of impact.
I remember when people weren't sold on Frozen when trailers and TV Spots were focusing more on Olaf's hijinks prior to it's release back in late 2012 and throughout 2013. I can't wait to see how these posts will age once "Wish" comes out.

I feel like the bad marketing for Frozen may have inadvertently helped it's word of mouth. Expectations were so low that when the movie turned out to be pretty good, it left people leaving the theater saying "wow, I wasn't expecting that!" instead of "It was good, but didn't live up to the hype."

I'll never forget the Frozen craze between 2014 till early 2016. You couldn't escape somebody at least singing "Let It Go" in public during that period. It felt like an eternity because of how often that film was discussed.

The more I watch the teaser, the more I yearn for the days when DHS (formerly MGM) used to create parades for an upcoming or newly released Disney/Pixar Animated Film during the mid to late 1990s.

Toy Story Parade (1995-1996)

Hercules Victory Parade (1997-1998)

Mulan Parade (1998)

I remember in a few episodes of "The Disney Dish Podcast", Jim Hill recounted seeing the first performance of the Toy Story Parade at MGM Studios just minutes after seeing Toy Story playing at a theater in Downtown Disney (now Disney Springs).

"Wish" would had been perfect for DHS during the evenings similar to Disneyland's "Parade of Dreams" and Magic Happens which both performed during the day and night on certain days.

Why is the animation so bad? It looks like Disney Junior.

And I'm a little bit shocked after the success of Super Mario Bros. that they left the star that's a DIRECT ripoff of the Luma from Super Mario Galaxy.

I'm getting Adventure Time vibes from that star design myself. Well, why not? Disney copied the bean-mouth design from Steven Universe for Seeing Red.
