"Winter Dreams" - A new World of Color Holiday Show!

That looks amazing!

It's interesting to compare with the DLP version, which while not having as wide a canvas to work with does have some differences. The sing along is only Jingle Bells, but in multiple languages. Anna is a co-host to Olaf, Santa is himself, not Mater at the end. And it has pyro and the castle as a backdrop if you like your Disney night-time shows that way.

Wait until you see it in person raven! I ended up at the park tonight at the last minute, and I caught an evening Viva Navidad show in Paradise Gardens and then the 10:15 Winter Dreams from the bridge. YouTube doesn't do either of these two new shows justice.

Run, don't walk, to DCA this holiday season! They have done it again and hit it out of the ballpark.

Can't wait to see it, TP, whenever that happens!

Sorry but i don't like this show ! I prefer really the Paris version who is more magic and spectacular !

I love World Of Color but this version is very bad ! This is just promotion for Frozen, this is just the passage "Let It Go" who is successful ! In the version of Paris, pyrotechnics is really pretty! It is shorter but it's enough !

Why are you apologizing for not liking the show? It's find if it's not your cup of tea.

I don't see how you can say it's just a promotion for Frozen when there's only one Frozen scene in the entire show, and it's less than five minutes long.

I don't know if the movie version and the single version are voiced the same, but I just learned that Demi Lavato voices "Let It Go" for at least the single. It's the only song available now on iTunes.

Olaf sings the song. I could understand if it was any other random Disney character singing the song.

Just because it's called "In The Summer" doesn't mean it's completely and restrictly a summer song.

My shaky interpretation was he was asking "if you are saying it is not a promotion for Frozen, then why is 'In the Summer' [which is from Frozen] also part of the show?"
(in other words, it's not just one song from Frozen)

I hate to say it but I am not incredibly fond of the Olaf narration-he's a little too doofy for me (maybe that will change after seeing the movie??)

Anyhow, I think I realized a big reason why the show doesn't "do it" for me the way the standard WoC does: besides the fact that the story doesn't seem to be as tied together as the standard version, the COLORS are much less vibrant.
I realize that, because of the content, that's just the way it is, but besides the Toy Story Nutcracker segment, most of the colors are very somber - blue, white, gray. It lacks the "life" and color that the standard show has.
As impressive as the big water jets are, there's a lot of vibrance in the smaller, smooth water tubes frequently lit up with all the colors of the rainbow.

Anyhow, I'll completely enjoy it while it's here, just that I would never want such a show to fully replace the various, colorful themes of the original!

There might be another version of the show coming after this one is finished; I was told that there's another virtual choir for Disney in the works. It could be for something else, but I'm guessing it's for World of Color. Pretty sure that the old one will be back after this one finishes its run, but there could be another variation in the show's future.

Demi's is a cover it's the Pop, Radio Disney Version. The movie version is done by Idina Menzel, it's more a theatrical version. Thanks for the tip, I'm going to go by Demi's version.

Yeah, I would imagine that they'll change it up in the future-they've done a great job of keeping it fresh so far with "On Stranger Tides", "Brave", etc.

As Steven Davison mentioned on Thursday during the introduction, the show was always intended to be flexible.

Personally, I've really enjoyed the standard show with the special tags (such as the "TRONcore" - also mentioned on Thurs. and Prep and Landing). I think it's a good compromise of a standard show with special, limited-time accompaniments (and acknowledges the fact that the show is "good enough" to be a long-running standard show without needing to fundamentally change it on a regular basis).

I guess I just feel that with the time it took to put together and fine-tune the original, it will be hard to keep the quality if there's an entire new show a couple times a year.

Steve confirmed the new lighting on Screamin is here to stay!
