Follow up questions: Have you experienced Spider-Man at Islands of Adventure?
Really wish I could for the IP but don't like thrill rides in general even if the motion sickness didn't hit me. I'm a dark ride fan at heart. If I ever get to Uni Orlando, my top priority would be to ride the train to Hogwarts. lol
Have you tried dramamine to combat the motion sickness other rides bring you?
Dramamine and Bonine have never helped. It's an inner ear imbalance and I can't deal with anything that spins, drops, swoops, turns suddenly, etc. Soarin' and Philharmagic would make me dizzy if I didn't know to close my eyes at certain parts, but since I know how to deal with those, I can still enjoy both and I do. The reason I can do Web Slingers is because the motion parts are in front of practical sets, then you settle in front of the screen parts before it opens. Still a little spinny for me at first, but I know it and can settle soon enough into the non-spinny part afterward.
Of course, each person's system is different, but I wager if my cousin could successfully conquer the coasters of Cedar Point with dramamine, you could probably take on the other attractions of DCA that would normally prove problematic with it as well-assuming, of course, that you enjoyed said attractions in the first place and would opt to ride them if not for the motion sickness, which may or may not be the case.
Yeah, even if they didn't make me sick, I wouldn't enjoy coasters or drop rides.
I suppose you are the pretty much exactly the target audience for the ride.

And I'm cool with that. I see a lot of families coming off the attraction excited and happy - and with sore arms. lol Not everything has to be a thrill ride E-ticket and Disney seems to have forgotten how to make an E-Ticket strictly from quality of theming like Haunted Mansion or Pirates without a major thrill component. I'm genuinely sad I can't go on RotR but I can't because of the drop at the end.
Perhaps I am the only person for whom the nighttime pier does absolutely nothing for.
Maybe because I have become acquainted with actual historic amusement park piers at night, which truly deliver overwhelming, organic atmosphere that Disney's fake version can never hope to match. Disney's version is just enough removed from the real thing (not helped by hotels and the convention center easily visible in the background) to feel completely artificial and lifeless to me.
Fair enough. The daytime pier does nothing for me as there's not a single ride for me there besides Little Mermaid which even for me is rather a bore. Thrill rides are for you and DCA lit up at night is for me.

But I'd also be totally fine with losing the pier entirely, bulldozing the area and making better attractions to fill the space. Heck, if they plopped down Avatar in there, I'd've been fine with that, too, as I know it's additive for the park, if not for me, then for others. But for now, I see lights and it makes a pleasant walk at night.
