I love Apple. I have an Ipod and the Iphone. But I also own a PC. I would prefer an Apple computer if it weren't so expensive.

Wow, WIndows blows so very hard. Apple is just a thing of beauty. They have the best OS and the best hardware. Anyone who doesn't believe me, just use Vista for thirty minutes. IF you haven't shot yourself in the head at the end of that, then I will direct you to the nearest Apple store. I JUST got the brand new unibody MacBook, and it truly is a thing of beauty. It runs like a dream, and the laptop itself is just drop dead sexy.
I have a 16GB iPhone, an iPod Touch, and I will soon be buying an iMac for my apartment. I'm telling you, Apple is at the forefront of the technology world.
I cannot even IMAGINE how embarrassing it must be for all you Windows users out there to be sitting in Starbucks on your giant, ugly laptops out there to see a Mac user (and believe me, you can spot them lol) pull out a DROP DEAD SEXY MacBook or MacBook Pro, open it up, and have Mac OS X boot up in like 30 seconds, while your Vista laptop takes 5 minutes ON A GOOD DAY.
Yes, some call us (Apple fans) smug. Some call us snobs. Some call us jerks. But really, it is just having the knowledge that we have the superior product. It is the knowledge that Apple is the best, and we demand the best. We deserve the best. We, meaning ALL OF US. And Mr. Gates with his BILLIONS of dollars, sits back in his house, not worrying about a single thing as people CHOOSE TO BUY WINDOWS. It just blows my mind how someone would actually KNOWINGLY choose to buy a machine running Vista. Or any form of Windows for that matter.
Not everyone can afford an Apple. Some people complain that Apple products cost too much.
But do people complain about how much a Hummer costs? Do people complain how much a Viper costs? How about a Lier Jet? Anybody you know complain about the cost of a Lier Jet? No? Thats because these products are THE BEST. Nobody questions the price of a top of the line, quality product. Top quality products are gonna cost a little more than an inferior product. Its just the truth.
Its nothing personal. And I hardly ever go out of my way to point out that Windows SUCKS to people. But when those idiotic Windows user are sitting there, actually believing that their $300 Windows machine is ACTUALLY SOMEHOW better than my $1799 Apple unibody, aluminum, LED backlit, power sipping, powerhouse of a computer, well, I just get a LITTLE crazy. And that is when I will not waste a second to put a Windows-Head in his/her place.
Sorry if this offends or upsets anyone, but the simple, cold hard truth is that Apple is the best. Windows is a sorry excuse for an operating system. Apple is gaining on Windows EVERY DAY. The iPhone is HUGE. They are almost number one. iPod is the top dog in music players. And will be so forever. Why? BECAUSE THE IPOD IS THE BEST. It looks the best, it works the best, and it sounds the best.
There is a reason that all of Hollywood and the music industry uses Apple. Nearly every movies you have seen on the big and little screen over the past 5 years were made on an Apple.

I've been an Apple user all of my life. Love the products and all, but I keep it to myself and I don't look down upon others because quite frankly, it's a ridiculous thing to do. This makes me ashamed of using these products....I try to limit the amount I use my iPhone in front of others because people are quick to judge, much in the same way they do if you say that you're vegetarian.... but after reading that post, I really can't blame them...

Since I am a Mac genius in an Apple Store I appreciate that comment.
As for Blu-ray...I think they are waiting for the technology to be perfected. The computer boots pretty fast without it and I think blu-ray would really bog it down. But that's just my personal opinion.
Also, if they make a flagship store in downtown Disney (which would be a dream come true), I would transfer there in a second! lol

I can tell you exactly why Disney doesn't use Macs. Microsoft offers huge discounts and support packages to companies that agree to standardize Microsoft products across their entire company. The larger the company the bigger the discount. So Disney has Microsoft OS's and applications for every computer they own whether they use it or not. So, why would they go out and spend more money for a second OS they don't need?

It's not the general Mac user; it's the Mac evangelist, the "too cool for the room" advertising, the price fixing, the employees of stores being refered to as "Geniuses"... that gives the brand a little bit of tarnish.
I own PCs and Macs and Apple makes some fine products, but really... it's the group of users/addicts/cult members that take themselves/Steve Jobs/iAnything way too seriously... that make you say:shrug: and

In the grand scheme of things of life, what does it matter if you have an Apple or a PC? Its just electronics.
But please understand this. Consider those crazy, INSANE, men who go to football games with painted faces, foam hats, no shirts, the whole bit. They are there supporting their favorite teams. Now do this for me. Ask one of those men about a rival team. You will get an answer about that team even more colorful than my response to Apple. And are these people bad mouthed by the masses? Are they looked at weirdly? Are they hated for being SO PASSIONATE about something they love?
And let me say this.
I don't have a room decorated in Apple stuff. I don't have an 'Apple Room'. But I promise you that anyone of these football freaks have, at the very least, a wall devoted to their favorite team. I have one MacBook, one iPhone, and one iPod. Thats it. No Apple shrine, no Apple worship center, nothing.
All I have is a deep love for Apple products. They look stunning and they perform like a dream. Now I don't mean this next comment as being smug at all, I am just stating the truth that anyone will tell you.
Apple products have become status symbols. And rightfully so; Apple products are not cheap. Coolness and amazing performance come with a price tag.
I get that.
And I understand that for most people, there are more important things than computers, phones, and iPods. I understand that not everybody can afford Apple products. I get that.
But don't bad mouth a product just because they have loyal, excited fans who love their product, and want to share what they have found to the world.
And to Master Yoda.......

I have seen Macs around Disney in some offices like Disney Events Groups, ABC, and so on.
But then is just a matter of taste and Money. My main Desktop is a Mac, but my laptop is a Dell Running XP (and yes it can run Mac OS X or Vista).
I have seen many brands that do great computers (some Sony, some HP, some Dell) is Just a matter of taste. Is like the Disney / Universal fight, same as ABC / NBC / CBS...

This is true. It's all specific. Disney needs PCs because PCs are better at the things Disney needs them to do. My next computer, on the other hand, will be a MacBook Pro because it's better suited for creatives and I'll need it for recording arts and portability. I can't lug my iMac around and I don't expect it to do IT work either.
Comparing Apple to Microsoft IS like comparing Disney to Universal. Or Disney to Disney to Six Flags. Disney, like Apple, care about the EXPERIENCE. Not the rides, not the value. The experience. Universal, like Microsoft, says, "Here is something. It will suffice for what you need."
Disney, like Apple, says, "We understand that you deserve better. There is more to this than just what is here. Its how it is provided; Its how its presented. Its about the atmosphere. Its about the experience of using our products. We will provide you with something at a level higher than our competitors. And yes, it may cost more, but you know what, that ok, because we offer more than just rides. We offer heart. We offer soul. And an experience better than anyone else can provide you."
Do you guys finally understand what I'm trying to say here?
Microsoft, like Universal, is sufficient. Its just........there. Nothing extra special about it. What you see is what you get. There is no real experience involved with either of them.
And then there is Disney. Whom, like Apple, wants to provide people with more than JUST a bunch of rides and shows in a park. Both companies are so similar in the sense that they provide exceptional things, except that they provide the complete experience. Walk into Universal. Then, turn around and walk into the Magic Kingdom. The music, the people, the sights, the sounds.......It like the difference between night and day.
Bottom line: Disney, like Apple, is the superior product. Does that mean that Universal, like Microsoft, is all bad? Not at all. Both Universal, like Microsoft, provide something that is just........ok. Nothing special. Nothing exceptional. Sure, it works ok for some people, but there are some of us that expect, that DESERVE more. And Disney (and Apple) is that something. And while Disney (and Apple) may cost more, it is worth it.
So the next time someone tries to tell you that Universal (or any theme park) is better than Disney, and you get extremely defensive and fly all over them and go all Disneyana Fanboy/girl on their , just remember this thread, and how the feeling, the REACTION, is the SAME WAY for me, and other Apple fanboys.
