You know come to think about it Merf may have a point... I called once to inquire about a weekend trip once and ended up with 380DVC points, a Disney visa, a dozen or so Disney collectors pieces, a monorail set, numerous plushes, and one share of Disney stock....all from one call.:shrug:

I think you maybe right. Back in 1998 I called to book a ressie and I ended up with a collections of ornaments a house with Disney Magic all through it and a son that was..... well lets just say he should've had been born with Mickey Ears.:lol::lol::lol:

it really doesn't matter to me if you close this thread or not, more pop up all the time. but why don't you try to show us the same respect that you would like us to show each other - I'm not your child.

She is a moderator on this board and has the power to close this thread.

I think she and all the other mods show us a lot of respect and put up with a lot of things they really do not have to put up with.

She is doing her job and is very damn good at it.

Maybe if people did not act like children she would not have to treat them that way...

This is a confusing exchange, I must say.

As to the original post, I think we now know what the questions are for, and we've actually developed a discussion about how the CMs are paid and evaluated that I would find quite interesting, if we could just avoid the name-calling and other generally rude activity. And if we can't, that's why we have moderators.

I understand that she is a moderator, i also understand everyone deserves some respect. has anyone ever heard lead by example? nah the first thing is if you dont like it then leave. that makes no sense to me. and suprisingly, no other moderators have ever spoken to anyone like that. im not opposed to a thread being closed, merf went overboard in this thread in my opinion. but the last time anyone asked me if I "understood" i think i was around 7 or 8.

and i completely agree with you, but what happens when a moderator is being rude to you? you just ignore it or go find another site? i like this site i just want to be treated like an adult.

I understand what you are saying..but maybe PM her and let her know that you felt that she was being rude to you.

I do not know..I do not feel like she was being rude really..just doing her job..but you feel differently and that is understandable.

I am sure she will reply to you though and let you know.
