Why do I still feel bad...?

I have to keep in mind that my DD has gotten to do BBB & CRT more than once on some of our trips & my 2 DS didn't do anything extra...except on one trip they did do the Pirate Cruise & my DD didn't.
I made the final choices on the ADRs.
My DD said that she was fine w/ just seeing the princesses in the parks...it is me that's feeling a little guilty...she doesn't really seem to care.

We all know that guilty feeling that comes along with parenting. You could just make finding all the princesses some fun mission. Create an autograph book for her just for the purpose. It is definitely a challenge to get the timing right but could totally be a fun thing to try to do. Get her all pumped up for it and this can certainly take the place of the princess dining experience. Hmmm, now I'm all into the idea...we'll have to do this our trip in August!

We were with another family one year and did the princess breakfast at Norway. The girls loved the princesses, and so did us two dads. Especially Jasmine!!:sohappy:
The food was good as well.
Tell the boys to suck it up and enjoy. That's what my wife told us. ;)

You know your situation better than anyone.

Like I said, for me, I'd make sure she got her way 100% on at least one thing. But I'm kind of crazy that way. When my oldest daughter told the Santa at the mall that the one thing she wanted that year (2009) was Zhu Zhu Pets, I moved heaven and hell to get them. :fork:

You can definitely do the princess experience without the expensive meal. If your daughter will genuinely be satisfied by that, might as well save the cash and keep everyone happy.

Of course the nggling thought in my mind would be that she wouldn't truly be satisfied and was just saying what I wanted to hear. But you know better than anyone whether or not that is the case. I'm sure you'll make the right call.

Have fun!

I have shown Jasmine pictures to quite a few dads who were being dragged to a princess meal. Every time, they suddenly started looking forward to the experience.

Ya, I got to thinking later, after I posted what I said, that it also depends on how much she has gotten her way already and how much your boys have gotten their way. I think it should be about fairness and making sure that each child gets something special to them. If you feel like she has gotten plenty of that already, and that the boys haven't, then yes by all means, let your boys have their way on this. I was just voicing the general principle that one child shouldn't be able to veto what another child wants to do. But as I'm starting to learn with two kids (one being almost two), sometimes it's hard trying to be totally fair and make sure that each child is treated equally. Obviously, you know far better than any of us what the "score" is in regards to all of your children being treated equally on their vacation indulgences, and whether this situation calls for letting the boys have their way, or letting your daughter have hers.

My kids are only 6 and 3 and the girl is the oldest. Right now they dont have a say but I try to do things for both. Right now they like everything. But I am sure in the future we might run into these issues. My DH has never once complained about the princess he loves seeing DD get so excited! I would try and do one princess meal and tell the boys to deal and shut it! But also do things for the boys where as your daughter will have to deal. I have been to disney many times with my large family and everyone enjoys doing it all. Come on your in disney!

As for the characters/princesses- the more the better! My kids get so thrilled to see each character! I love random spottings!
