Have y'all ever wondered who we are?

lol, let me explain. People we're all so used to seeing on here like 'Lee', 'Captain_Hank', (at one point and time, Merf) people like that. Do y'all ever wonder who we are? For example, I was at the D23 Expo, and saw one of the panels with Tony Baxter. Someone - I think on this forum - was there too, filming, and of course I had no clue. I just think it's funny, some of us could be in the stretching room with each other, or on a bus going to or from a resort, and not even know it.

I was just curious to see if anyone else had thought about that. :lol:

We'll both be in ECV's (if you have a problem with that I'll be happy to show you the scars from my hip surgery and my cancer surgeries). I'm easy to spot 6'4" and 250 lbs and I wear a dessert camo hat that says Army Veteran. Come over and say hi.

Ditto. We will be there in April '12 with my disabled Vet brother also in an ECV...(we're thankful for his 20+ yr. Army service) and my "extremely young" 84 yo mother. Just announcing in advance that this party will be using ECV space on the bus and staying at POR. Have hoped on each of our visits to meet other WDWMagic members. :wave:

I'll be there 11/12-11/19 - but to meet up I would have to actually admit to my husband that I spend most waking hours chatting about Disney with total strangers (since my family has no interest in listening to me yammer!!).

I'll be the grown woman with the giant Mickey Mouse ponytail holder in my hair - or I suppose one of the THOUSANDS that fit that description!

If you smell the combination of crusty old pizza, body odor, and Jovan Musk For Men, look for this guy's approach and yell, "hey rsoxguy, How's the shower repair at home going"? I'll be happy that you took the time to socialize.

I found out after the fact that I spent an entire evening at the AC along with the infamous Thwarn.

Aside from that I have met quite a few forum members face to face in the parks. Many of them have become very good friends. The great thing about on-line Disney friends is that you ave a great common place to meet face to face.

I wear my wdwmagic.com button every moment that I'm at WDW, and it's only been noticed once!
(several years ago, while being loaded on to Test Track, by Trey who used to participate here and worked on the ride)

I don't know that I'd be brave enough to approach someone I thought I recognized - even if they had a button. I'd probably point the person out to Love and say, I think that person is on the Disney board I go to!! - but that would be the extent of it.
