They were for our 2 older kids that did not make this trip. They ate them in the driveway like ravenous wolves.:lol:

ME! Tell you two trips straight I've gone to Norway and saw an empty spot where the School Bread is supposed to sit. Never did get any on the 2nd last trip, they were completely out the day I went. Thought the same was going to happen on the last one, but just as I let out a sigh, more appeared from the kitchen! :sohappy:

The pastry is like a fusion of bread and donut batter. It is not a tough as a bagel but not as soft as cake donut and is not quite as sweet as a donut either. It is filled with a vanilla custard and toped with sugar icing and toasted coconut.
