You are an Eagles fan, so that is a No-No. Giants fan all the way!!!!!! :D

Giants fan huh, well we all have our flaws

I don't know anyone who likes the new Metallicrap. And I love listening to James crying about how everyone calls them "sellouts". As much as i'd like to see them in Oct. I don't really wanna pay all that money to hear the St. Anger garbage.

I forgot to add Tim Mcgraw and Rascal Flatts as my favorite country singers. Country is not my favorite genre of music as I am a rock baby but I like some. Now as for that hip-hop and rap crap :hurl: I also cannot stand the music my sister listens to: Anybody Killa, Insane Clown Posse, Twistid :hurl:

Well, since some of you are not only including rock, then I will have to revise my choices. If we're talking overall, these are mine in no particular order:

*NSYNC
Boyz II Men
Michael Jackson
Celine Dion
Gloria Estefan
Aerosmith
Luis Miguel (awesome Spanish pop singer)
Mariah Carey

You get the point :D

I actually met one of the guys of Hoobastank awhile back. He was at a record store looking around near where I was standing. All I could say was, "Hey, you're in Hoobastank." Well, of course he knew that already :hammer: .
Very nice, very friendly and very cute.

Very Cool!

I can honestly say I haven't heard of the 1st 4 bands.

And I'm shocked no one has made any remarks about my selections

Well, sorry Kevin, I'm actually bigger into acoustic guitar, and the notion of the singer/songwriter than alot of the stuff out there now allows.
Kind of an interesting story in a parallel, I was talking with some friends in the Virgin Megastore about the sad state of music today and how a band should give up all its music integrity and credibility the instant they show up on MTV (okay, so Jack Johnson gets played occasionally). And who overheard the conversation and told me off in no uncertain terms? One of the members of the band Good Charlotte. Ah well, good memories there...

I have delayed posting here because I was leery of the responses I might get, but WTH, here goes (This is also real, and heart-felt. Also these can hardly be called "bands"):

1. The Philadelphia Orchestra
2. The Berlin Philharmonic
3. The Academy of St. Martin's in the Field
4. The Atlanta Symphony
5. The Cincinnati Pops - Gotta love all the great Disney albums Erich Kunzel and company have done. For you rockers who don't have a clue, check out Telarc CD-80196 "A Disney Spectacular"

Well, if we are going that way, then I have to add Manaheim Steamroller and Pershing's Own (the Army Band).

Barenaked Ladies -- The most eclectic, musically diverse, intelligent, and all around "BEST" band ever formed since the beatles. Each song they write is unique. You never get "bored" with their sound because it's always changing. PERFECTION.

Also Like:
Cat Stevens
Guster
Disney Orginal Orchestrations (such as the ROE theme)

and the collective works of Sir Nim;)

Sir Nev!

Good choices, and if its what you listen to, then its what you listen to. Hopefully you may turn some folks on to these orchestras and some of the works they've put out.

Anyways, here's what i've listened to the most over the past few years....

Zero7
Lemon Jelly
Groove Armada
Avalanches
Leonard Cohen
Belle & Sebastian
Wilco
Flaming Lips
Mercury Rev
Flora Purim
Beth Gibbons
Beth Orton
Return to Forever
Anything by Getz, Gilberto and Jobim
whole lot of soundtracks
