Can I hear your rationale? I’m just curious

Ratatouille: I've been on the ride at DLP. I honestly keep forgetting it's even coming to WDW, lol. It's not "new" to me, so it's not so exciting

Galaxy's Edge: It's not exclusive to WDW. It will probably be good (maybe even great), but I'm not looking forward to the crowds and I'm not overly crazy about SW in general, or Disney's continued over exposure of the franchise (similar to how many are tired of "Frozen everything")

Mickey Ride: Very disappointed in the closing of GMR and that it's mostly screen based. Art style does not appeal to me. Will probably be OK, but not something worth doing several times.

GotG: Not happy its coming to Epcot. Concerned that (despite its cost and size) it won't be much better than RnRC or DLP's Space Mountain. The music and scenery will make or break this ride more so than the coaster track itself IMO.

TRON: A clone, but at least it's a new addition for MK in a land that mostly makes sense for it.

TRON is the only coming attraction that excites me. I hate that it will be in the Magic Kingdom, when it would have made much more sense being put in EPCOT instead of that asinine comic book building. But oh well. Looking forward to riding it.

Well I think Tron also makes sense in Tomorrowland and Tomorrowland should take priority over EPCOT. I think the castle park of each resort should be the top priority.

I am not answering for Mickey5150, but for me, its not that a coaster doesn't belong, it is more that if you put a coaster anywhere in EPCOT it should in someway be educational. If it doesn't educate in someway than EPCOT will lose its meaning and they will have to change the name from EPCOT to Epcot, oh...wait, they did that didn't they. Damn it.

Yep agreed. They could have definitely thought of something better for EPCOT.

I voted for SW:GE, but in a strong second place is TRON, I loved the first movie and man did I drop a lot of quarters in the old TRON video game

I actually think tron legacy was pretty good...but like the original - it didn’t resonate in a way that produced big big office.

I also think casting to “launch a new star” was a mistake. Shia lebouf syndrome

Indiana Jones.

Of confirmed rides...probably Mickey’s Runaway Railway. The Toy Story stuff is just cheap filler until Star Wars opens, and I’m sure the two rides in that land will be cool, as will Tron and Guardians, but Mickey’s just seems to be the most unknown.

Still more excited for an Indy ride though. 😉
agreed! an indy ride would be amazing!! but of confirmed probably mickey! the tech will most likely be awesome!

I agree that the second movie was enjoyable. It may not have made has big of an impression due to my age. Young and impressionable for the first one old and grumpy for the second. Sequels need to be closer together.

I honestly think MMRR could be amazing, especially with the new 2.5D tech they’ve got going in. However, because it’s not actual 3D, there is a good chance guests won’t feel that complete immersion and will know they’re just watching actual screens move around. The beauty of 3D glasses is the immersion (look at FoP for example, you feel like you’re actually there for a quick minute) so WDI is gonna have to execute this new tech perfectly. If it works, this ride could be revolutionary.

GE sounds great if the rumors of leaving one vehicle for another in Battle Escape and whatnot are true and if the millennium falcon ride actually works based off the guests’ driving skills. This could also start a new age for certain types of simulator rides.

Finally, I love roller coasters and think there should definitely be more of them in the parks. However, the parks have been leaning towards slower, immersion-based coasters that stop frequently or are on motion bases and it takes away some of the thrill (ie. Escape from Gringotts). All I want is another fast, inverting coaster to bring some thrill back to the parks and if Disney can do that while also putting effects and motion in to make it immersive, then I have plenty of faith in GotG. Tron is a good example of speed with effects worked in well, but it’s most likely gonna be a copy and paste of Shanghai so it’s nothing new or secret to us.
