I voted for Star Wars but Ratatouille is a close second. I will see all the new attractions and hope they are all successful.

So, a thread about people's most anticipated new attraction includes some people dumping on said new attractions-that are not even completed or open yet. Par for the course for this forum lately, I guess, but it must be easy for some people to judge new things without having experienced them, right?
Anyway, to answer the question, for me it's SW:GE, specifically the Millenium Falcon attraction. I've daydreamed about piloting the Falcon since I was a kid, and now it looks like I'll get that simulated opportunity. Looking forward to riding all of the other planned attractions, too, TBH.

I'm honestly saddened by how many people are already writing off Mickey and Minnie's Runaway Railway simply because it's replacing the Great Movie Ride. And how people have already decided Guardians of the Galaxy isn't going to fit inside EPCOT. Pandora shouldn't have really fit inside Animal Kingdom but Disney made it work by having the area led by the Pandora Conservation Initiative. I will wait to judge Guardians of the Galaxy's fit inside EPCOT until it comes out. And even if it doesn't fit, it may not change the fact that it's still a great roller coaster. EPCOT (just like literally anything else) MUST change and evolve to stay relevant.
Ps. Everybody, stop pretending like you cared about Universe of Energy. You didn't. It never had a wait. All the vehicles were over 75% empty until the day they announced the closure. Nobody liked that ride. Nobody including you.

For me its the TRON coaster! When I saw it on a video in the Shanghai park I thought it was really cool, but I knew I would never be able to ride it because it was in Shanghai. When they announced it was coming to WDW, it was a dream come true for me.

For the record I am also looking forward to the Guardians coaster too!

I'm more excited for Guardians of the Galaxy because it's likely going to be significantly longer than Tron which will amount to about 75 seconds at the end of the day.

For me atleast:

1. Galaxys Edge (Looks amazing and it seems like it will be more immersive then Pandora, also 2 rides compared to everything else being 1)
2. Potter Coaster (We know a ton about this coaster and by the sound of it UC is working there best to make this one of the best rides in Orlando)
3. Mickey and Minnie (We know a lot about this too and it sounds great and something that hasn't been done at WDW before)
4. GOTG Coaster (We know nothing really about this except it will be a coaster similar in style to RNRC and I'm excited to see what it's all about)
5. Tron (While a cool coaster, it is quite short and I don't like a couple of the effects on the Shanghai version)
6. Rat (We know a lot about this too and for me this is the most underwhelming trackless ride by Disney, it is very easy to see the edges of the screens and I wish it would have more physical sets)

My only regret with the new attractions that are on the way is that WDW is getting its first two attractions that use the trackless ride system-but both will be copies of existing/simultaneously opening attractions (Rat at DLP and Battle Escape at SW:GE at DLR). I would have loved to see a WDW exclusive trackless ride.

Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway has actually seemed to be an overlooked topic with Disney. Especially for a ride due to open in a year. Also, GOTG has never been compared to Rock N Rollercoaster.. or at least nobody I’ve talked to.

Huh? Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway will also be trackless. And unique to the resort.

I am excited out of my mind for GE! My family is a Star Wars lovin' group, and really excited to see what Disney does with it. We were blown away by Pandora, so that makes us even more excited. As for the rest, I am pretty excited about all of it! So many new things - I tell my DH I HAVE to go again for each new thing. However, my family are movie lovers and do miss GMR - so people stop saying no one liked it. We rode it a few times every trip (my fam was part of that under 25%). Yes, it was part nostalgia, but also the celebration of movies old Hollywood style. I am excited to see the new Mickey ride, too!

I actually really liked the original version ('82-'96) of the attraction. I was always a huge fan of dinosaurs as a kid so the first time I went on it in '89 I was blown away. It was like DL's primeval world diorama but better. But I would say my love for the attraction dwindled somewhat after they made it into 'Ellen's Energy Adventure', but I still enjoyed it immensely. And the musical score alone to both the original and the newer version made it worth going on to experience.

And my GF was absolutely heartbroken they closed it the week before we went on her first DW visit ever. I am not saying you're wrong at all, 90% of the audience didn't care for UoE/EEA, the lack of lines and empty ride vehicles like you mentioned prove that. But there were a small minority who did actually like it - myself included.

I think most people also realized that once it was closing, that they would miss it because it was such an easy way to escape the heat and weather outside and rest your feet or relax. No lines, air-conditioned, sit-down and 35-40 minutes long? That's a great combination for families, older folks, people who want to relax or to escape the chaos outside for a bit.

I guess if I had to rank my excitement level for all of these, it would be:

100% Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge
95% TRON
90% Ratatouille
85% Mickey & Minnie's Runaway Railway
80% Guardians of the Galaxy

I am super excited about all 5 projects!

SW:GE of course! I’m a massive Star Wars fan, and I’ve been looking forward to it since it was announced! I’ve heard that it’s supposed to be the most immersive thing that they’ve created, that’ll put you right into the story. Although I’m a bit disappointed that it’s set in the sequel era instead of the OT.

Why on earth would you expect it to have a linear path??
If you look at the few pieces of concept art for the attraction, especially this one, it does not show the kind of wide open spaces that would allow for non-linear movement like you seen on Mystic Manor and Ratatouille-it shows a restricted, linear path for the ride vehicles. This may not be what the finished product is like, or it may just be a portion, but this pic in particular shows a linear path-and the ride vehicle is a train, even if it is trackless..

Part of the issue is replacing great movie ride, a HUGE people eater, in a park that is going to need capacity, was a gigantic mistake. If the ride is great, people will love it just like avatar. Not putting it in its own building, and updating GMR, is going to make people question the ride now.

I’ve never heard anyone make any sort of reference to capacity when they trash talk Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway. I have talked about capacity in the sense that it was poor timing for the Great Movie Ride to close but if you notice in construction photos that path that runs down between Galaxy’s Edge and Toy Story Land? That path is for access to the show building of the Great Movie Ride. Disney was in a ‘now or never’ situation since having the back of the park operational would’ve made accessing the show building extremely difficult. Also, I might be wrong but Ratatouille (the only ride I could really compare to MMRR) has really good capacity so I’m imagining that Runaway Railway is going to have very good capacity numbers. But only time will tell.

Oh I see. Well I think there’s a curve in the track down there xD see it veering off to the right? But I also feel like that’s a huge assumption to make with only two pieces of concept art out. I would count of the track being substantially different.

I don't think anyone knows the capacity. And until they announce said capasity Then I can't blame people for being upset. I don't see the mickey ride coming close to GMR as far as capasity goes. But the bigger issue is the park needs both.

Again, I have never heard anyone tell me they were upset over capacity. They're usually upset because "they loved the Great Movie Ride." But now that I have my computer and some numbers, Ratatouille in Disneyland Paris has a capacity of 2220 riders per hour. The Great Movie Ride had one of 2400 riders per hour. Assuming Mickey and Minnie's Runaway Railway can match the capacity of Ratatouille in Paris, it should not be an issue. And after both Star Wars Lands rides open, I don't think capacity will be much of an issue at Hollywood Studios. Yes it will be crowded from the sheer number of people visiting the park but every ride will be operating at an excellent capacity with the exception of Alien Swirling Saucers.

Ok,let me try this a different way. It's not about the capacity of Mickey alone. Its the fact that you are loosing the GMR capacity when you should have both. Star wars might just break the park. I'll eat crow if star wars opens and its not a complete cluster and didn't need GMR capacity.
