Tron is it for me. I love good coasters. I picked it over GOTG, because I'm still annoyed that's going into Epcot, I prefer outdoor coasters, and I don't know much about how it will be as a coaster. Tron is a more known entity for me.

Not really all that excited for Star Wars. We're planning on taking a friend in 2020 to see it, but I'm not into simulator rides and that's about all I've heard about so far.

At first glace it seems like I would enjoy Tron more but again, I am annoyed at how short of a roller coaster Tron will be as Guardians of the Galaxy is supposedly going to be one of the longest indoor roller coasters. So long as the coaster tops 2 minutes of ride time, I feel like I could potentially enjoy Guardians of the Galaxy more although I will always be skeptical of its inclusion in EPCOT.

Ratatouille for me, but that's easy since it's my favorite Pixar movie. I'm more interested to see the technology that Disney puts into all the new rides though. MMRR may turn out to be the greatest ride ever since they have never asked the imagineers to design a Mickey Mouse ride, you would think they want to do it justice.

Which (confirmed) attraction are you most excited for? I'm not totally sure why but I'm most excited for Mickey and Minnie's Runaway Railway. I think it may have to do with the fact that Disney has said so little regarding the attraction. As time passes, I'm finding myself less excited for Tron. I honestly don't like that it's likely only going to be a 75 second ride. However, if it comes out that the WDW version will be longer than Shanghai's I might change my answer.

What do you guys think? What are you most excited for and why?
If nothing else Tron will be splitting thrills with Space Mountain so it may help with wait times.

That is a valid point completely! I just usually am biased against indoor roller coasters. It could very well be that the GOTG will be a better one and by a significant amount too. We'll see when they are both there :)

Ratatouille.
It's the only one that hasn't totally ticked me off yet.

- SWGE is out because "Last Jedi" was a veritable hurricane of stupid and "Solo" was bland and unnecessary. I'm past caring about Star Wars.
Which is ironic given my username and profile pic.

- GotG does not belong in Epcot Center.

- MMRR is a decent enough concept, but there are two main problems: 1. it's using the sick "Ren and Stimpy" version of Mickey that makes me want to puke, 2. It should have been put in the former animation building. But Disney doesn't want that because Star Wars Whatever is over there.

- Honestly, I keep forgetting that "Tron" exists. The first movie was boring once you get past the visuals, and the second movie was even more boring except for the glory of Michael Sheen at his Michael Sheen-est.

Personally I take an attraction at face value, I don't care if the show and/or movie was good or not. Avatar was below average at best and, in my opinion, only survived off of its special effects. The story and acting were extremely bad. I mean really, the best name they could come up with for the mineral they were mining was unobtanium. But I love FoP, it is a really cool ride. Pandora is really cool at night and I love hanging out there.

Star Wars, the series of movies, is okay. I can take it or leave it. I still haven't seen the last real movie, I did see Solo because my niece wanted to see it. But I will judge the land and the attractions for what they are. IP or not if the attraction is good, than it is good.

Guardians is in the wrong park, unless they tie it to education somehow, which if they do it will probably be a stretch. That upsets me, but again, if the attraction is good, I will ride it.

Of course the opposite can be true, I love Aladdin, but the ride is below average. I still ride it though.

I don't think Guardians of the Galaxy being placed in EPCOT should ruin anyone's perception of what could be a great ride.

As for Mickey and Minnie's Runaway Railway, I used to be upset over the animation style BUT after hearing the rumored plot of the ride, I understand why they chose that style. The plot is more similar to the story line of one of the modern cartoons on top of the fact that the ride isn't exactly going to be the most kid friendly ride (which could be another actual problem in it of itself) and the classic animation style probably would have give riders the perception that it would be among the most kid friendly rides in the park and.. well.. if the rumors are right, the ride involves almost falling in a burning furnace. Not exactly my definition of a kiddie ride.

It doesn't belong in Epcot Center. The only place it that the GotG could go in Epcot would be in the Magic Eye Theater as a new show.
But it does not belong anywhere else, and nor does a roller coaster belong in Future World.

They should have put GotG in DHS. Maybe cut back on some of the Star Wars crap, since GotG is essentially Marvel's version Star Wars.

If Guardians of the Galaxy gets a good roller coaster, it's still a good roller coaster. Regardless of where it is.

That's the attitude that has ruined Disney parks since Iger took over.

Why is there Los Angeles public transportation in outer space?

It's all about how the theme of the area gels with its surroundings. Why do you think the Tower of Terror at DHS is pink and has a rather Spanish/West African motif in its architecture?

Because it was meant to blend in with the Morocco Pavilion!

I never said that I think GOTG makes a lot of sense in EPCOT but the ride has yet to open and given your previous posts, it seems you just have a rather negative attitude towards Disney and their developments. I don't agree with everything they do but I'm not going to pretend a ride is terrible simply because of its location.

Also, I recently had a cast member friend tell me that Tower of Terror's color wasn't chosen specifically to blend in with Morocco and that the concept of it was a myth. He was told that on a backstage tour of Tower of Terror.

And since you posted a picture of it, I have a perfect example now! Guardians of the Galaxy: Mission Breakout. I've been on it and I can tell you it's an awesome ride and a worthy successor to Tower of Terror. Does it make sense where it's placed? No. For now at least it doesn't. And I don't like Marvel or Guardians of the Galaxy. Despite all that, I will still tell you it is a very fun attraction because that is the truth of the matter.

I'm oddly excited for Mickey & Minnie's Runaway Railway! I'm interested in the new tech that they were talking about for it. I'm also really excited for Tron!

I'm not a Star Wars fan at all so I'm not particularly excited for GE. I'm hoping it's like Pandora - I didn't like Avatar but love Pandora.
I think the hype over Galaxy's Edge and Star Wars' complete domination of Hollywood Studios is the reason I'm not totally looking forward to it. Although in reality I should be since it will (hopefully) move everything Star Wars into Galaxy's Edge and keep the rest of the park Star Wars free.

I voted for MMRR which I am quite excited for even though they demolished one of my family's favorite rides for it. So I hope it is unique and worthy of the space.

Star Wars. Even though I'm not a fanatic about the whole brand, I'm more of a fan of SW than the others. The fact that the entire land will be encompassing us into a well constructed theme and building the excitement factor leading up to it, it cant fail.

I have the exact same question.
As long as it fits with the concept of Future World (GoTG doesn't unfortunately), it could have a rollercoaster.

I am not answering for Mickey5150, but for me, its not that a coaster doesn't belong, it is more that if you put a coaster anywhere in EPCOT it should in someway be educational. If it doesn't educate in someway than EPCOT will lose its meaning and they will have to change the name from EPCOT to Epcot, oh...wait, they did that didn't they. Damn it.
