Which rides @ MK are worth riding @ night?...

Yes, agreeing with everyone else: BTM, TTA, Astro, and JC. My siblings and I love riding the Indy Speedway at night. I know that many on this site dislike this ride, but we love it. It's sort of relaxing, and everyone in your family can get their own car and have a little time to themselves. And at night it's alot more fun.

But don't forget, it's not just rides that get better at night. To me, there are certain areas that are much more enjoyable at night, just to sit down in. I love hanging out in Tomorrowland at night. Also, getting a little outdoor table at Casey's, watching the Castle change colors, and just people-watching is how I end my night at MK.

So, it's pretty safe to assume ANY ride that is outdoor or open-aired is better at night. :lol:

I'm also going to throw this out there... CoP and Philharmagic are better at night simply because your eyes have an easier time adjusting to the light. CoP darned near blinds me when I exit the theater in daylight.

Astro Orbiter is AMAZING at night!!!! Especially if you ride when the fireworks are going off....you feel like you're going to fly right into them.

Also I love Dumbo at night....since its right behind the castle you see the castle light color change as you fly by. its pretty magical, in my opinion.

Those are the two that I ALWAYS have to do at night!!!!

Jungle Cruise is the best ride to go on at nighttime at the Magic Kingdom.

I always make sure I ride Splash Mountain one last time before I exit the park at night although for night time fun (that's permissable in the park) you can't beat the Tower of Terror at DHS.

BTM is really worth it...because at Night it has that factor of not being able to see everything so it seems like you're going a lot faster than you are. Love Thunder at night.

I have to agree here. I remember getting on BTM just as the fireworks were starting one night. Everyone else went to watch the fireworks and we rode BTM 7 or 8 times in a row since there was nobody waiting to get on. Every time we reached to top of the hill on the ride, we were treated to wonderful view of the fireworks show. It was one of those special, unplanned, may never be able to replicate moments at WDW.

BTMR would be my fave and I dont know why but for some reason I like waiting in queue for IASW at night

Id love to go on JC on a fairly foggy night that would be really fun

I went on BTMR at night for the first time this past trip and it was awesome. It feels faster and more like you don't know where you're going, like a smoother Space Mountain.

I was just curious which of the outdoor/partially outdoor rides give a different or better experience at night. I would imagine that the TTA and astro orbitor would be worth it, but what about rides like the Jungle Cruise or BTM?

At night we always make sure we hit:

1) Splash Mountain-- theres some really cool outside parts of splash that make it worth doing at night.
2) Big Thunder-- the ride is a little too tame to do during the day but at night it adds something to it so its the only time we do it.
3) Jungle Cruise-- very cheesy ride for the day.. but like Big Thunder its cooler doing in the dark.
4) Haunted Mansion-- we usually skip this during the say to save it for the night since anything haunted is better at night.
5) Space Mountain-- always has a shorter line at night so we save for night time.
6) Winnie The Poo-- see #5

The ride itself isn't different at night, but it keeps the mystery going if you walk from dark into dark.....especially if one of the HM CMs is hanging around scaring the crud out of you! Love BTMR at night, too.
