When I was at WDW, I noticed that a few of the attractions were really missing something. What was that? Musical scores. Music always enhances the experience like in a movie. So, which attractions do you think needs a musical score the most?

DMC-12

It's HarmonioUS, NOT HarmoniYOU.
It would be cool to walk into Dinosaur with a John Williams-esq (Jurassic Park Trilogy) score playing the background. ... I know... I know... JP is is over at IoA... but still... ... you know what I mean. :)

I'm pretty sure M:S has one. I remember asking myself why they were playing dramatic music during a training mission. :)

I voted Space Mountain. Of all the rides listed, it's the only one where there's really nothing to see or hear during the ride.

hmm...

I personally think that Spaceship Earth (along with a complete overhaul of its' existing audio system) could do very well with a dramatic musical score throught the entire ride...unless it already has one...I know the scenes probably already have music in them, I don't remember there NOT being music, but still I think it might work to have a running score throught...

There is. Its one of the best scores in WDW done by Bruce Broughton. You can find it over at:

This may be blasphemous :lookaroun to say, but I really think Space Mountain could use an overhaul. I, in no way, think it should be removed. But, looking at what they've done with it at Disneyland Paris and the system they have at Rock 'n' Roller Coaster (especially the synchronized soundtrack), it has potential to be so much more.

I'd love to have a musical score for The Haunted Mansion... Bring the Phantom Manor Score here to WDW!!!!! And Vincent Price's errie laugh...:D

Mission:Space has a musical score written by Trevor Rabin (Armageddon, Bad Company, Remember the titans)! Not during launch though but it picks up once you are in Space.

I prefer the waiting scores though.

If there was a sound track with Space Mountain that would elevate the entire experience. I think that would be awesome !

Many of the other rides listed do have scores...at least in the pre-show. Space Mountain just has the annoying electronic beeps and buzzes, and once on the ride, nothing. It doesn't need to be too much, and no words...but I'm thinking along the lines of Star Wars type "space travel" music (in contrast to battle scenes).

Spaceship Earths score is GORGEOUS (both now and Cronkite era).

Space Mountain could do with an onbaord score maybe - I would think we will see an overhaul in the next few years (its 15 months shy of its 30th aniversary). Just a cosmetic touch up though... nothing TOO modern!!

I didn`t realise Dinosaur even has an onboard score until i watched my home video after the holiday...maybe it needs turning up a bit? Or am i just deaf?

Ido Guidoti composed the score for Spaceship Earth, not Bruce Broughton. Bruce did compose some good music for Honey, I Shrunk The Audience though.

If any ride needs a musical score, it'd have to be Space Mountain. If (or when) Space Mountain gets a rehab like Disneyland's is getting, the ride vehicles should be updated with an on-board audio system. That would be a nice addition.

Mission Space and Test Track DEFINITELY need songs.

There's nothing memorable there. Put a song in one of the MS queues and again in the exit.

And no, not this "Destiny" crap which (1) can hardly be heard and (2) because it can't be heard, is taken in as a regular "song X you hear on hold when calling Eckerd." Something unique.

And same goes for the FUTURE Test Track Post-Show which I would go GA-GA for. :D

Space Mountain could use one, but I'm not sure if it needs one on the ride. . . Aerosmith already has one. But if so, I would like it to keep with the theme of the queue.

Oh, and add "We've Come So Far" to the queue to Space Mountain.

Big Thunder doesn't need one, I don't think.

here is the best solution for all:

space mountian has music at disneyland paris and disneyland california why not use the same music it rocks anyways.

spaceship earth has music but if we want something different bring back tomorrow's child from the past version beyond that ride needs a wake up call.

M:S if it needs music play the instrumental peice called space from horizons or what about the theme new horizons its still going along the same theme of if you can dream it then you can do it.

dinosaur has its own music from the movie which is played quietly in the back just make it louder during the ride.

well i am out of ideas

This reminds me of being on the Jungle Cruise last week when we had a REALLY annoying skipper. My grandma said "That would've been so much better if they had just played jungle music." I know the Jungle Cruise is suppoused to be cheesy, but a little 30's background music would sure add to it!

In reguards to Space Mountain, I think it could definately use a dramatic score, not as much like the "Surf Guitar" soundtrack that DL has. The ride as it is now has this kind of eerie quiet feel to it, though, which is pretty cool too. But I guess in space no one is suppoused to hear you scream!

Does anyone know of any good sites for Atmospheric and Background music?? (other than Sound of Magic.)
