Which ones?

I try to do something "new" each time I go to WDW. This summer will offer plenty of new stuff, but there two old things at two different parks that I just have never gotten around to. So I ask, which ones should I make a priority this summer?

At Epcot: O Canada or Impressions of France? (sorry my French isn't very good)

At AK: Pocahontas and her Forest Friends or Flights of Wonder?

O Canada is both old and new, since it has been updated as of last August. the old version was OK but missable. The new version is extremely enjoyable!

Impressions de France has always been relaxing. The music is beautiful and the visuals are nice also. On a hot day, it's so relaxing that my parents fall asleep!

At AK, Flights of Wonder is great -- funny, engaging, fast-paced, and the birds are pretty cool too!

Pocahontas is only so-so -- that's the one I'd skip.

Thanks Big Blue.

Do both Epcot features have seating, or are they standing like reflections of China? (I got that France has seats, I guess I am only asking about Canada.)

O Canada is the only Circle Vision movie I have ever watched b/c they give me motion sickness. If I remember correctly you stand to watch it....or in my case sit on the floor after it starts and look at the ground.

I haven't seen the new Canada movie but I absolutely love the one in France. The scenery is breathtaking, the music enchanting. And afterwards you can grab a pastry!:slurp:

Pocahontas only really works for kids. And even my niece at 9 was kind of bored with it to a point. Definitely go see flights of wonder. The birds are breathtaking and you learn a lot.

Since having seen the new version of O Canada, I still give the edge to Impressions de France. Though I wouldn't pass up O Canada, especially if you happen to wander back there and find that the show is starting soon. (If you just missed it, perhaps loop back past it later on)

I'll also put my vote in for Flights of Wonder. It's a must-see.
And as another poster said, the Pocahontas show is geared toward the little kids. (Just don't miss Festival of the Lion King next door!)

Off-topic: I *love Festival of the Lion King*!

I too would go see Impressions du France, although I think it could be updated a little bit. The music itself is worth it.

Oh Canada or Impressions is pretty much a toss up in my book. I really like the updated film with Martin Short in Canada but the music and the sights in the movie in France are incredible. They both run continuously so you really should have time to do both.

Now between Flights of Wonder and Pocahontas FoW wins by a landslide. Pocahontas is cute but nothing special. FoW is a great show all around. Good message, good comedy, and some really up close encounters with some amazing birds.

If it has to be one or the other...I know it sounds lazy but I would opt for France just because they have seating. Sure, you get to sit down for a lot of attractions but you really don't just sit and relax for too many of them (just too much to take in and see!). I put Impressions right up there with The American Adventure and Hall of Presidents...a really good show/movie and a great place to take a break and RELAX.

I have never done Pocahontas but we really enjoy Flights, like others have said, not only do you get to see some really cool birds in action but it is also informative and entertaining.

Personally, I loved O Canada. But then I haven't seen the one in France.

As for at AK, I would go for Flights of Wonder. Pocahontas was good but I preferred flights

I have not seen the new O Canada but my husband and I love the song in the old film.

I really love the music in Impressions and you can sit.

If I had to choose I would probably pick O Canada.

At the AK, definitely do Flights of Wonder (unless you or people in your party are into the princesses). FoW has audience interaction and it really is an amazing show!

Flights of Wonder is definately my pick in AK.

I like both Impressions de France & O Canada. Since they are both movies that run non-stop, do both.

Thanks everyone,

Why not do both? I vote for O' Canada.

Enjoy your trip and let us know which you pick. :D

By the sound of it, I will try to do both this summer. Also, sounds like either one would go over well with our crowd. We like Martin Short, and cool air for resting legs.

Thanks for the heads up on Pocahontas. We'll save that for a time when we take little ones. As it is now, no one under 20 this time, so we'll go Flight of Wonder.

Thanks everyone for the info. Now I have a little "sizzle" to sell these ideas to the ladies. We spend so much time hitting the headliners, we have just never made the time for these. If we ever even went over the bridge to go see Poke-o-haunt-us, we would get side tracked and go to FotLK for sure. It is one of our favorites. It was our first Disney show ever as a family.
