Which Monorail Resort???

Thinking about alot of things in the planning of my next trip to the world and ive been thinking about maybe a resort on the monorail line but which 1?????

Grand Floridian?

The Polynesian?

The Contemporary?

Any tips or info and thoughts on the advantage to the monorail also welcome :wave:

I think it comes down to personal preference...I like the GF and Contemporary personally, but I haven't STAYED at either one since I'm local. I have been extensively through all 3.

The Poly is ok, but I don't like the style of it as much.

If I didn't need to worry about costs, it would be the GF

Out of the three, I've only stayed at the Contemporary, and I really enjoyed it. I've enjoyed walking around the Polynesian and eating at 'Ohana, but I've never stayed there. The Grandl Floridian looks very nice, but it's a bit too expensive for my tastes.

If money is no issue - I would say Grand Floridan. However, I think the Polynesian is ascetically more beautiful. I would choose Polynesian.

I'd stay at the poly...it has easy monorail access to EPCOT and MK...and you have the option to take the TTC bus back from AK and DHS

We stayed at the Contemporary in August and were thoroughly spoiled with the MK view from our room and being able to watch Wishes every night - we listened to the music through a channel on the TV and it was fabulous. I would like a chance to stay at the other two someday, but only if money wouldn't be an issue......sooooo, don't see that happening. :lookaroun If it hadn't been for a great discount, we wouldn't have been able to afford it.

I have yet to actually stay at a Monorail resort. I've always wanted to stay at the Contemporary since I was very little and so I think I would make that my first choice just for that reason.

If I were to take that nostalgia out of the equation, I think I'd stay at the Poly first.

GF is nice enough (very nice enough, in fact), but it just doesn't have the personal appeal to me that Contemporary and Poly has.

I absolutely agree with this. An MK view at the Contemporary is my dream hotel stay in WDW, but if it weren't for nostalgia I'd probably go for the Poly. It's just so beautiful.

If money is no object, go for the GF (I am afraid to touch anything in there, too fancy). We love the Poly, however, our budget never allows us to stay there. We can always dream of staying at the Poly from ASMo.
