I go for November/December as its all decorated for Christmas and its one if not the cheapest time to travel over from the UK. Its also the best time to take time off work for me personally.

Although some years I do like a bit of F&W Festival in October!

Another vote for May. Had some pretty good trips during that month. Most recent was in '09. For those who avoid lines, this was right in the middle of final exam season for most h.s. and college students. I think our longest line was around 15-min at the most. The heat was typical for that time of year, but didn't bother us at all. Resort rates were a bit on the lower side, and if I remember correctly, did not go up until around Memorial Day weekend (which we avoid at all costs).

May at Disney was really good to us.

I say January, No wait, February is nice but so are March and April. You know May and June have some benefits along with July and August too. September and October are great just like November and December. So to sum it up, any month I have the chance to go, thats a great month for Disney!

I have to agree. One of our two annual trips takes place in May, always the first week to coincide with our wedding anniversary, and the weather and crowds (or lack thereof) are great.

Every time I see your avatar, the Ballad of Davy Crockett starts playing in my head. (Born'd on a mountaintop in Tennessee...killed him a b'ear when he was only three!) :ROFLOL:

I voted for April, as our upcoming trip is about 5 weeks away. I'm hoping that the weather will be not to hot, but ready if it is. I remember going in October 2009, and it was in the high 90's to 100 each day (well above average for that time of the year, just bad luck on our part). I would like to go at Christmas season one year, the weather would be nice and the everything would be so special.

I've gone in June, November, and August. I voted November because the weather is more pleasant, crowds are lower, and Christmas decorations are up.

I wouldn't recommend June unless you were going early in the month, before it gets too hot and crowded. August is better crowd-wise (and significantly drops off towards teh end of the month, but it is very hot and rainy, which many people find to be a turn-off.

We spent our honeymoon at WDW. The last 4 days were right after Labor Day, the parks were EMPTY. It was outstanding!

Our next trip in is early May of 2012, I expect the parks to be low in attendance, excellent!

Either January or February. Yes, it can be cold at times, but not as cold as it is at home. Crowd levels are low and no big tour groups dominating everything.

It's just too bad that this poll is not reflective of the general populace, because my month (April) only has 4 votes so far and is towards the end of the race. Unfortunately, this lack of popularity for April is not reflected in the general crowd patterns, with spring break and Easter drawing huge crowds in.

I am 19 years old and have been almost every year since I was born. My family started going every year during Thanksgiving. When I was about 14 we went during the Christmas season, and have never looked back. Christmas at Disney is such an amazing time. It's decorated, great weather, and usually doesn't get crowded until around the 22nd-24th. We always elave on the 23rd to get back for Christmas. But to be totally honest. I would go to Disney World any day, month, or year. I love that place.

I know I am one of the regular April goers which will be skipping it because Easter week :(

i love the spring/summer months for the really late emh. we like hitting the parks early until around 2pm, head back to the hotel to chill, clean up and head out for a sit down dinner then do the parks until 2am. the down side is the heat (and i'm from florida).

on the flip side we love the weather and the crowds in oct-early feb (non thanksgiving, christmas, and new years of course) BUT the parks close really early.

Sorry to hear you are skipping your trip. For what it's worth, I spend a LOT of time in the parks in March and April, and the Easter/spring break crowds really aren't as bad as some people make them out to be.

For one thing, if you use Fastpass, you can still get on the most popular, most crowded attractions with little to no waits. For another thing, the parks stay open much later than they do in the so-called slow season (except Epcot, which sticks to its standard 9 PM close).

And the MK usually runs the night parade twice a night, EVERY night of the week, with hardly anyone watching the second parade in Frontierland. The Studios, too, usually runs Fantasmic! twice a night on most if not all nights of the week. And it's much easier to get a great seat for the second show right before showtime than it is for the first, so anytime they run Fantasmic! twice a night is a great time for me!

When all is said and done, between Fastpass and the longer hours, it is actually fairly easy to get on more attractions per day on a MK peak-season day with park hours from 8 AM - Midnight than it is on a slow season day with the stingy 8 PM closing time! The same is true for the Studios and AK as well. I have more productive, satisfying days at those parks when they close later during peak periods than I do when they close early during the slow seasons.

totally agree... and I am not one of those who mind waiting... its basically the prices that I avoid and the extra $$$ on dining if it is considered peak season. And also the points use for DVC is more on this week... :brick:
